so today i checked on the roots of my girls that is 1 week into flower and it seems like they are dry and dying...is this a nute burn?...the leaves and plants look fine but i know it cant last without healthy roots...should i clip off the dry stuff and give the roots a bath in some thrive alive or super thrive or what?...could this be from not watering enough...i water 2 times a day in a dwc with rockwool...a half hour each water...not a massive mass in the water yet so i still run a drip...its not root rot or anything...looks more like the roots were burned...ill pur up pics asap...got them just have to load them.

Dry??? if they are dry you forgot to water..... and that's not good beings plants need water.... get that pic up and we'll see.... are the roots in any part in the water??? if not they need to be.... root rot is slimey nasty stuff, check my gallery for example....

ive dealt with root rot and its not that...only the taproot and 3 or 4 other longer roots are in the water on most plants...would the taproot alone be enough to feed the bitches a week into flower or should i up the watering schedule to a couple times a day until they rebound?...theres no slime or anything along those lines...u know how on the taproot there are the smaller hairs comin out the sides along the length of the taproot?...its those lil ones that are most affected and the smaller roots just makin their way out the net pots...they look burned away...my ppms are at 1400 and the ph is 5.9...it seems like they were burned...if its the case what would you all recommend?

if you have plants, where the roots are just coming out the pots, or whatever is holding them, and they are not in the water then that is definately your problem.... also I don't use meters or adjust ph, but I believe that 1400 ppm is extremely high for a plant that's wet behind the ears........ drop the plant down into the water... or raise water levels so that the 'rootball' or where the roots are mostly coming from... make sure this parts in the water at least until the plant shoots roots down into the water....

You kind of confuse me with 'watering twice daily, in a dwc????? Explain your setup a little more in detail.....

Well they look absolutely tolerable from here.... maybe a little curling on the outer edges of some....but who's really worried about that? Unless your roots tell a different story I say you're doing great,..... keep it green

Actually I kind of dig the drip/DWC action... did you purchase that as a complete unit or do you have some nice engineering skills..... I've played with GH waterfarms... and like the drip but they'd always get nasty from the salts.... does that drip line stay clean for you???

hhhmmmmm... I take from what you've said, that you have roots in the water but most are not in the water? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Then, you are watering twice daily via drip line? Maybe you're stretching them too far between waterings... again I'd say raise water levels... or in your case, increase either duration, or number of actual waterings..... peace
