Help my babies! *pics*

hey all, something's wrong with my babies! i have had many fine seedlings grow into kick assed plants but recently i found out that my new germinated seedlings seem to be "rusting" up, any idea why it's so? i stay in a tropical climate where the sun is strong and temps are about 30-35 degreesC ( so damn warm) and humidity is crazy.

i started them in small pots and water when the soil seems dried up (usually once every two days)

any idea?

any input would be more than appreciated. :)

here's one of them

and another.

and as you can see, some of the others which i started later seem to be doing okay, it's just the first few.

i would have to agree... too much sun can really torch a seedling. a little shade might help. water too. good luck.

How well did you mix your soil and how "hot" is it. Should be starter soil with little/no nutes. Looks like burn but could be from getting wet and sun burned them like JJScorpio said. I grow hydro so I can elaborate too much but if the soil has nutes or additives and isn't mixed well you could have a hot spot of nutes also.

wet and sun burn is a possibility, but please check well for bugs, specially white flies and aphids... i am at a tropical place too and those fucking pests have been doing damage to my seedlings, so i have to be on the look-out everyday, controlling populations... peace!

it's WARM! hahha, too warm, i step out of my house and immediately start perspiring!

slyfox, i was thinking of shade too, but was afraid of stretch, so i just placed them in the sun.

there have been no nutes added, i'm using some seedling mix soil specifically for seedlings, and have no bugs on my seedlings as of yet, so i guess it's actually wetting the plants which are killing them eh? :S

i didn't know if you watered the leaves they would get burned,

thanks for the info up till now, i really appreciate it :)

if you can wet the leaves so long as the sun does not directly hit the plant. when it rains the sun is shaded by the clouds so its light does not get to burn the leaves, but sometimes right after it rains the sun comes out at midday very strongly and the wateron the leaves become very hot very soon so the hot water starts to burn the leaves. peace!

hey, one more thing, anyone of you think that maybe it's the genetics in the plant? As in, different strains might not be able to take the heat? Because i was thinking, like how indicas grow up to a 6 inch bud here while some sativas grow to trees outdoors at 12/12 all year round.
an ak48 i grew, grew up to 6 inches maybe less. no shit. ;O
