Help me with design please !

Hi guys

Been lurking here for a while and have learnt so much,I have came to the decision that I am going to start growing my own for different reasons, shit quality,over priced,proceeds going directly to paramilitary orgs. etc

I want to be able to keep myself smoking in the most efficient and stealthy way possibly ie. low heat,leccy consumption and odour

what I have to work with
1 locker style cabinet measuring 35cm x 35cm x 85cm

Lighting
Im thinking LED,before any one jumps in with the LEDs are sheite I have looked into them and on my scale its either LEDs or cfls
If I do choose LED I hve my eye on a 180w 7 spectrum light which should be more than adequate for my space.

Ventilation
intake i will prob use a pc fan maybe 2 but for outake im clueless, i need something thats gonna be able to pull through a carbon fliter(either bought or diy need help with this too) but still be compact enough(and not a noisy bugger either)

other
whole thing will be lined in mylar,its allready been sealed airtight(minus the door) so hoping for 100% lightproof
for potting im going to be making a pot to make best use of space,

what do you guys think the best way to use this space?
as I said its for personel use only and want to be able to stop buying for various reasons so would be look to average around an ounce a month(I know i wont be able to get an ounce every month but that my target)
I am thinking of either SCRoG or SOG

Also whats the best way of getting equipment and seeds delivered,im abit paranoid about ordering online but where I am its the only option and i cant get it delivered anywhere else

Skip the active intakes and go with passive intakes.Try an S&P mixed vent fan,depending on model it should hold up to a filter.

A one plant SCRoG would be the best option in a space that small.


Seeing as how small your space is (just over 1.25 square feet) I would recommend CFL's or LED.A 100w HPS if you can control the heat would be nice though just keep it 12" above the plant.

In order to keep yourself in supply would want to start out your seeds (say 5) and grow them to their 4th or 6th set of true leaves and take cuttings of each and root them,flower the donor plants to sex,cull all males leaving only the females.You'll need a few small 25w cfl's to root the cuttings and grow them out under while the donor plants flower out in the locker.Once the donor plants have been harvested and dried (and possibly cured) test each sample and go through a process of elimination until you end up narrowing it down to one keeper plant.Keep the corresponding clone of that keeper donor plant and make this your mother,take a cutting and let it root,then veg it out in the locker and train int through a screen starting a perpetual SCRoG grow.If you can veg it in a separate area in a modular SCRoG,that way you can just witch over to the locker every 8-11 weeks.

First of all welcome to the forum!
Now let's see, while you're right when you say that you should use either cfl's or leds, I'm pretty sure that 180W is too much for 35cm x 35cm surface space you have. And you may even have trouble finding an unit that fits in that space that puts out 180W. The 120w I have are ~40x20cm and the 300w are ~50x30cm. And they each cover a surface that's about double their size.
I think you should look for something in the 50-100W range for that space.
And as Jnugg said you should use passive intake, with a intake hole surface of around 2 times the size of the exhaust hole surface. And look into the microgrows subforum for ideeas on how to do the filtered exhaust.

If money is a consideration I would go with a CFL. 1 or 2 would be plenty. Computer fan would be the quietest, use the least amount of power and they are budget friendly. That is one small space. If you are a disciplined, fairly light smoker you might supply your needs by the skin of your teeth. Otherwise you will be in expansion mode pretty quick.
