help me wire

I am trying to build an extension cord. the plugs i bought are rated at 15A 125V while the cord is 13A 125V... is this ok?

what will you use the cord for??? the heads and wire dont "need" to match....when they are assembled you can only rate them by the wire/cord rating anyway. IE:13Amp 125v.

edit:
if your useing for standard household "UL" rated product...i wouldnt be concerned because you would probly never draw more than 110v-120v.
if your gonna use cord for heavy equipment like power drills,power tools,compressor,ect.....its not recommended you use a low gauge cord. you need to buy a preassembled/insulated "heavy duty" extension cord. a bit more expensive..but ALOT more safe:wink:

What are you trying to build an extension cord out of?

14 x 2?
12 x 2?
10 x 2?

I do all of my own wiring in my grow/rooms……….use only what rated!!
