Help me find a cheap pair of work boots

Think I'm getting picked for an electrical apprenticeship. Any suggestions for boots? Never done any trade work and all I know about are Red Wings...let's just say that at this point they are a bit out of my price range with having to buy tools and all. Hoping there are some guys on here that know what's up. Any other stuff I need to know before I show up to the jobsite?

It's been a long time, but I wore Carolinas (steel-toed) the last construction job I worked, many years ago. I was a field engineer and I spent a lot of time on hard surfaces esp. concrete and gravel. They were tough and comfortable. They may not be as good now, but I threw the name out there for consideration.

Congrats on the apprenticeship; good luck!

Congrats JusticeFrog, more than likely your employer will advise you what type of footwear you need when you do you orientation. Electricians usually need @ least EH (Electrical Hazard) protection boots....good luck @ the new job :tiphat:

Whites....Whites....Whites....and Nicks in Spokane Wa...Last pair you'll ever buy....not cheap....but....cheap footwear on a job site....really sucks...

If money is tight just get boots at Payless or Marshall's or Target
Probably find a pair for under $30

footwear for work is like a car-buy the very best that you can. if you don't, you will regret it pretty damn quick...
