Help me decide if a light mover is what I need

I have 2 2x4 flood drain tables with 2 600 hps with sliverstar hoods, in a 5x5x7h room. The plants on the ends of the table dont seem to yeild as well and always has the most popcorn.

I was thinking I could fix that with a light mover. I only need it to move maybe 6 inches each way. I think I could also take the glass out to increase light also.

Would a light mover be a good investment for me?? Any suggestions are welcomed..

A light mover is an awsome investment. Especially if you use it to move the light around the covered area of the bulb. They do not work well if you try to cover 2 x the space.

I got 2 of the light rails 3.5. Not much more $$ than getting one with the arm attachment, this way no ballance issued. Should pay for itself after the first harvest. :woohoo:

get one with delay on it......they work great if you use them to cover an appropriate area not double your grow area

I already have the movers..... serious fast shipping.. I have them put up now. I can continue the grow room redo. I wont have my plants back till mid march.I should do a thread on my grow room makeover,I haven't done a thread in a long time.

what do you all think for the delay time. I have it a 30 seconds right now..

If you're moving the light less than 2 feet, I'd skip the delay altogether. OTOH, I'm used to light movers of my own design, there they never stop moving. Because of that, I was able to run my bulb less than a foot above the tops of my plants, which as you might imagine blasted them with very intense light- but only for a short period of time.

You're just trying to eliminate leaf shading, so I'd think that the more often the trolley cycles, the better.
