HELP: Is this mix good?

Hello people,

Hope you're having an excellent groww and high! :D:dance013:

I am about to begin my first grow soon, and I want to confirm with others opinion if this soil I made is good for my indoor grow.

SOIL MIX per POT:
- 30% Perlite.
- 20% Worm Castings.
- 3 1/2 TBSP of Azomite Powder (Trace Minerals).
- 1 1/2 Fist of Coco Fiber (Not the square thing, but coconuts fiber like hairy coco stuff).
- 2 Fist of Organic Fertilizer.
- 50% Organic Soil (Good quality, soft and fluffly).

I'm planning to add 2 tbsp epsom salts to the soil, but I was thinking to add it in waterings and not in the soil, because im using 2 gallons pots. What would you recommend me, add it to the soil or use it disolved in water for the waterings feed?

Hope someone can help me out with this, thanks!

Yes, water with the Epsom. It's very soluble. Adding it to soil risks OD, and most of it will be lost in runoff, then you won't have any. Good luck. -granger

Curious since you state "organic fertilizer" what provides your manganese, boron, molybdenum, etc and what balances the pH of the peat and coco? Also what are the NPK ratios since that is needed to make a more informed answer to your question. Your ingredients are great and I just moved to that perlite ratio [33%] myself and I like it.

Azomite GA

"Natural Trace Minerals For Soil – 0 – 0 – 0.2 – Guaranteed Analysis, Soluble Potash (K2O – 0.2%, Calcium (Ca) – 1.8%, Magnesium (Mg) – 0.5%, Chlorine (Cl) – 0.1%, Sodium (Na) – 0.1% – Mined from a volcanic ash deposit."

I see you have magnesium [epsom / azomite] covered as well as a touch of calcium. Just thinking out loud brother.

I found this thread when I first started out and it knocked a year off my r&d, gave me a solid foundation to build from and proved an invaluable 1st timer resource. You might find it too simplistic or not sophisticated enough for your current level.

Hail! Hail! B1!

So then there is this thread

Heady Blunts Wicked Lobstah Soil Mix Adventure.

Note: My rec go for it if you can source/afford at this stage. I started at the basis mix.

...or even better you can blaze your own trail. Whatever you do I look forward to seeing your grow!

.... my 2 cents.

I hope this helps.

Hello!

@granger: thanks!

@mrSoul: thanks for the reply, honestly I do not know the NPK Ratios of the Organic Fertilizer, as it was a local organic fertilizer I bought in a garden store, it contains ashes, pine sawdust, and other organic ingredients that helps the soil (as said the seller). I didn't want to add much because I did not know a lot information of it, but since it was organic I added the amount my fist could hold, so it wasn't so much and also it was a good quality fertilizer in the physical perspective, soft and very crushed.

The ratio I know is of the Worm Castings & azomite which are:
- Worm castings: (1-0-0) I bought it from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZOEOEY?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

- Azomite Powder: (0-0-0.2) and contains almost 2% of Calcium. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0149L0EJ2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01

- For the coco fiber, its just a few strings of this. What I really know about coco fiber is that it helps with drainage, protects roots disease and root stimulating. (I bought it in a local store too)

A photo of the fiber: http://3.imimg.com/data3/IM/EU/MY-6056097/coco-fiber-250x250.jpg

For the nutrients, I bought Dyna Gro nutrients, they are:
- DynaGro Foliage Pro
- DynaGro Bloom
- DynaGro Pro Tekt(Silicon)
- DynaGro KLN (Rooting Concentrate)
- DynaGro Mag-Pro (2-15-4)
I also bought Neem Oil just in case of bugs :p.

The threads you sent me are great bro, thanks vm, although I am not able to reach all of those materials easily atm, Ill have to stick with the little I have :/

I will be showing the grow as soon as I get started, just waiting for the seeds to arrive which are THC Bomb Auto Feminized, I know they're not the best or a big deal, but I choose them since its my first grow and they are easy to grow, hopefully :D!

Hope this information could help to get a more informed answer, thanks for the help bro, cheers!:smoker::headbange
