Help identify weird taste!!!ASAP

I have a friend who grows and for the past 3 harvests its has a weird greenish taste when it sits out for a little bit..WTF.it has been frustrating him really bad being that the past 3 times it has been bad tasting.His other friend that is growing the same strain has awsome tasing weed(from the same clone)...now my frind has been flushing for 2 weeks too because he thought that he over ferted or didnt water enough...Can any of you guys give any advice to his problem,it would be really appreciated

he is using distilled water,and feeding once a week with Bio Bloom 1 tbl spoon.

Then the last 2 weeks hes just waters with distilled water...any help guys!!!!


Please help guys...this weird greenish taste sucks!!!..It smells fine all through out the grow,and everything is good until it drys and then it has the weird taste and smell...WTF!!!

dude, anyhow you grow it, the greenish taste will come from chlorophyle, the only way to avoid that is to cure your weed, dry it untill the bud stems snap, and then put it in a glass jar with a lid and let it be for at least a month, then try and judge again

in my experiences i noticed that if i burned or anyhow stressed the plant chemically i had worse taste than i did when i used just a little less nutrients they needed
so flushing in my opinion isn't needed if you use your nutes wisely throughout the growing process(by wisely i mean according to what and how much plants really need)

so if you didn't cure it, read about curing in the forums

Hey Tool - your friend is actually in a perfect position, better than most. He has dried, cured, GOOD bud from the exact same (clone) plant he's currently growing. Man I wish.

What I'd recommend is stick with Scegy's advice.... do the flush (very good practice for newbs until they get the feel of the nutes/strain) and then follow the cure procedure until....

Drum roll.....

It tastes, smells, looks just like what he got from the other guy growing that has good tasting bud. Talk about a fool-proof method - can't tell ya how many times I've had issues flushing/curing because I was new at the strain and had no idea what to expect.

You need to properly dry the weed, and then cure it in glass jars. Some people cure for 2 weeks, other for 3 months or more.

im sure some will disagree but i know 4 people who all grow the same weed and they are all different. their is many facters that go into taste. 2 of the guys use the same nute line. same dirt. live on the same road so they use the same water. is the other guy that you know curing his weed. this is a huge over looked step. but if it is crap weed all a good cure will do is waste your time. find out what that other guy is doing and recreate it . is he budding it for the same amount of time as the other guy. some times even a few day longer will do the trick
