I am growing a few a plants in canna coco, using heavy 16 nutes, actinovate, and cyto plus(seaweed product).

the ladies are about 5 days into flowering. Growth seemed slower than expected with strange deficiencies. nothing too major, but enough to bring out the scope.

I see absolutely no critters flying about or on the leaves.
pictured above is what i found in the water in the tray.

i have watered the ladies with conserve sc twice now over the last 10 days. The worm like critters don't seem to be affected by the conserve sc, however those other critters seems to be suffering but not dead.

my initial thought is these critters are thrips but these are in the water from the cartch tray, and i see nothing on the leaves. No eggs or other moving ctritters.

no idea on the wormy like critters (larvae?).

what do guys think?

Edit: here is a vid of the the first pic. Same link a few posts down. https://youtu.be/gDkfHehxIa4

Not sure on id and cant see pic well, but if they are in your water look into mosquito dunks, it is a block ypu can crumble n putba pinch in it contains bacteria that kills larvae, but isnt interested in plants. Check em out lots of folks use for fungus gnats.

Btw just curious you using wholebline of h16 or just bases? I only ask as i use fhull line up minus roots. Prime has seaweed in it, any reason ypu use other seaweed product? Question is not a challenge true curiousity...

I think if you click on the pics , they should be a bit easier to see.
I dont think these are fungus gnats. So the dunks wont do much.
I use just the base with the fire and get great results. I use the cytoplus because its very reliable and cheap, consider looking into it.

Loc doc thanks for dropping by. Intially i thought the second pic was likely thrips, but i think you are right, they look much more like springtails. So thats good news.

But it Looks like i have a serious case of some nematode worms. I just hope they arent going to cause problems. 2 of my 6 girls arent looking good. Yellowing, slow groth. These are supposed to be signs of bad nematodes, but im just not sure yet. Anyone know if i can purchase some beneficial nematodes that predate on harmful nemtodes in soil?

Are they in coco?? Are you experienced with coco?? Young plants, through veg should allowed to dry out a little, to encourage roots. Too wet gives lousy roots, hence lousy plants. I am so sick of coir, but will pass what I have been told. I am going hydro again, and loving it.

In coco. It is my favorite medium at the moment. Im pretty good at timing my waterings. Perhaps i was not as gentle during transplanting as i should have been, combined with warmer temps than id prefer could be responsible for the issues im having. Maybe causing some funkiness in the rootzone. The temps are in line now, and they have had enough time to settle into new pots. I guess we will see how they do over next couple of weeks.
It was seeing those two critters that just set off the alarm bells. I usually grow once a year and thats more than enough to last me for the year. But i have had whole crops ruined due to lack of due diligence and critters taking advantage of my good nature. No more. No more shall my jars runneth empty. Death to critters looking to harm my ladies.

The bacteria kills all sorts of larvae not just fungus gnats as they are marketed for mosquitos but are supposed to just get larvae reguardless of species.

I will look into that extract, prime is pricey but allows for no ph adjustment. And that seems to hold true, but I will check that out

Mosquito dunks kill mosquito, and maybe one or two other bugs, from my readings. They do not kill springtails, which are harmless.
