Help identify mite eggs or trichomes?

Plants have been showing twisting and tacoing at new growth sites so I figure I probably have broads or russets. Also I'm pretty close to an orchard maybe 500 ft away. I first noticed the strange growth about 2 weeks ago.

Today I took some lower clippings from my most affected plant and took them into work to look at under a usb microscope. I couldn't clearly make out any actual mites but there are these little white balls all over them. However, I can't tell if they are just little trichromes because they dont really look spotted like the other pics of eggs I've seen. I will include some pics of the weird growth too. I'd really appreciate anyone who knows what they are talking about to give their opinion and help diagnose my plants.

Honestly my plants still look pretty healthy and I'm still seeing a good amount of new growth but this strange twisting is freaking me out. Thanks!

hey,
sorry to hear youre having problems.. my initial feeling is they look like eggs!
cant say for certain... but some are clear, some cloudy.. so could well be eggs..
try this:
PEST SPRAY:
20ml's of 99% ISO alcohol and
30ml's of 30% hydrogen peroxide and
soap into 1 liter of water.
kills most bugs.

i agree with BBD i cant really tell either...u can also try some Sns 217 which if it is eggs the rosemary will turn the eggs yellowish/brownish. u can get a free sample from Sierra national science. they have 2-3 products u can get with upside down spray bottles that come along with it...gl keep us updated

Those are eggs, on the 4th picture from post#1, if you zoom in can see the egg that has two brown poles. Also the trichomes are growing on the end of those hairs and not at their base.

Thanks for the quick response guys. Hoping to get a few more opinions as well. I know there are people on here who have confirmed mites using a scope so they should know what they look like. Hey Epicorchard, I know you have battled the broads. If read this will you give me your thoughts please.

As far as treatment goes I bought and received today 10 slow release sachets containing 1000 cucumeris mites each. Im going to hang the sachets tonight. Does anyone know if you can over do it with predatory mites? Im planning on putting 2 sachets per plant and three on the worst two.

Then this Saturday when I have time I will move my plants into my garage's small office and heat the room to 115 to 120 degrees for two hours. I have read this is very effective in killing mites as they are very sensitive to heat. Plus its a natural and organic solution. I will remove the sachets before I do it and replace them after. Thanks everyone, I'm gonna try and get through this.

"tacoing" looks like a minor nute issue and "eggs" look like plain old bulbous trichomes. Nothing to get overly concerned about at this point imo

and no you can't overdo it on predatory mites. If it was broad mite etc, you would see russetting which I can't see and unlikely they would be in uppermost leaves

Thank you mazar_man that definitely seems like a possibility. Im probably just paranoid but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get a professional opinion.

And thank you kygiacomo, I may try that if it gets worse. You sure know a lot about growing products man. I will keep it updated, also there's pics of my plants in my king Klones thread.

Quick update, I was just paranoid. No mites probably just heat and wind stress or minor nutrient deficiency. However I did by some cucumeris mite slow release sachets just in case. They were cheap and they eat thrips too so figured it wouldn't hurt. Plants are healthy and going into flower.

You can't apply too many mites. I wouldn't bother with the heat treatment if you have the cucumeris mites, that would be counter productive. You don't have symptoms of broad mite damage and you should be able to see them as they move around quite fast. Their abdomens look like minute metal halide lamps. If you don't find adults then I can't believe that those are eggs. Make sure you search for them around new growth.
