ok i vedge in a cabinet 2x4x 6 of height and my plant are in 4 gallon bucket and they are root bound no more vertivcal space i plan to flower them under a 1k bulb how big should i make my pot for them to have the space needed fore their 10 week of flowering using bog organic mix as he putted it on OG

both their up in the light and no more space to move the light up for now i bend them like supercroping and the roots are starting to be visible on to of the soil I really got to hurry up to setup new flowering area cause the new babie need space too

Couldn't you just top or cut them if you're still vegging? That would buy you some time. Why not take some clones? I know that can knock back the size of a plant pretty quick. Cheers to you.

Hi coolpotnamegone,
if they are rootbound in a 4 gallon bucket already you will need a good 15 gallon bucket to flower them I reckon, but that is just an estimate.

Anyway, before you worry about that, you should be worrying about your vertical space. Vegitation is only half the growing stage and logically your plant will still double in height. Experience has taught us that cannabis more than doubles in height in flowering even.

So how are you going to solve that problem..?

looks like you waited too long... the idea is to grow them assuming they will stretch 2x their height or more, depending on strain. If your planning on flowering them you might try transplanting and laying the plants sideways, or extensive tying. You dont want to chop the plants too much, as it will most definately decrease your yield.

how old are the plants
how many plants
how long have they been in current containers
what type of lighting have they been vegged under

as said above good rule of thumb to grow by is

Sativa dom strains will stretch 3-5 times size when flowering is induced
Indica dom strains will stretch 2-3 times size

now are you sure your root bound unless your watering every day in soil then i would say chances are your not. i've flowered in things from a 2 liter soda bottle to a 6 gal container here and have never been root bound, i've cut many a rootball apart to find plenty of dirt still inside. my longest flowering is 55 days you'll see a few rootballs cut apart in my gallery and these are roots just under surface to grabbn all the perlite on bottom of container lol.

i'm with BM how ya gonna solve your height issue dang, if it's only like 1-2 plants i would cut maybe 2ft off the tops clone them side cuts and tie the rest down and out best as possible. ive overgrowen myself few time lol i get away with crushing the inner main stem and bending the tall stuff over when i put a plant i know is gonna be to tall. i'll wait 1.5-2 wks into 12/12 then crush and bend the tall stems sometime i must crush and rebend the same stems lol. then i get some super dense soil nugs just something about the crush and bend my plants love

lol done that also just be careful dont break the stems when ya smash i almost broke 1 last yr i had to replace that plant with a fresh 1. the plant survived was a tall mum and was flowered last fall outside

Cool i run a cab with dem's like your dem's 20.5 deep 47.75 wide 70.25 tall 400w hps aircooled hood and 4inch carbon scrubber inside i have only 4ft from bottom of light raised all the way to cabs floor. carbon scrubber tucks away very nicely in a top corner behind hood if raised all the way

ok they are under 430 watt jack herrer really hazy strech for a month and a half clone were obained rooted in the last week of january been growing them since 4 of them but my new fowering area will be 10 foot high a lot of space

could I putt'em in a big rubber maid container filled with b.o.g soilmix yeas I have to water them evrey day or they wilt and look bad
