Help: Holidays in Denver CO

Hi guys,

I'm european and i will be in Denver during July to taste your strains and "elite clones" that i can't find in Europe.

I've done a reserach on the best disp. where you can get a good product...

But: I will be at an hotel that doesn't permit smoking weed....

Can you suggest me a club where i can light up a joint in Denver and where i can chill after a long day?

No vape lounges or other shit... i smoke joints the dutch way.. 50/50 weed and tobacco.

Thanks my friends

I'm in another part of colorao but my understanding is that technically, there's no legal public smoking spaces. i've heard stories of private clubs opening & some being shut down. not sure if or how many of those are up and running in the city but just be discrete & you'll be fine. concentrates and/or vaporizing smell less but you'd have to bring or buy hardware.

if you're worried about smoking flower in the hotel room here's my trick to not upset my folks when I'm visiting them. Take a toilet paper (or paper towel) cardboard tube, stuff some laundry softener sheets in it & blow out your hits through that, works a charm.:)

Yeah as of now there are almost no clubs that I'm aware of. Make friends and find a good living room to toke in.

If you don't have a chill place to light up, go into the mountains on a hike and you'll be fine. Worst case, out a shower cap over the hotel fire alarm :)

If you are staying in the downtown area, it's fairly common for people to just walk around smoking. It is illegal, like drinking in public, but well...

If not in downtown, just go in the parking lot away from the main entrance. You could also walk through a residential area without much issue.

If you can get up to the mountains for a hike, it's pretty majestic and nice. You can take an uber up to the foothills for 20 or 30 bucks...or rent a car and go up yourself.

Also, 16th Street mall sucks, you will probably want to avoid it.

Any suggestions about a good rec dispensary?

I've read that native roots has good strains...

Basically i'm interested in all strains i can try in europe, expecially:

- GG#4
- GSC forum
- Golden Goat
- Aspen OG
- Bruce Banner
- Some real OG's (ghost, sfv, etc...)

Thanks

Personally I don't think any of the shops are really that good. Just production grade. Be prepared to drop some cash, rec prices are steap because of taxes. The strains that are reasonable for what you think a legal market should be are junk. Don't get your hopes up too high

Yeah, discretion will allow for a great time. 16th Street has a lot of police and security, you can walk down most other streets without problem. The best places for a walk and puff would be 18th through..20th or so, the ones below 16th are more touristy so have a police presence.

As others have said, the recreational flower isn't great most places. The last dispensary weed I saw was from rare dankness...wasn't bad and was a nice shop, a bit too dry. They don't carry the strains you mentioned though. A friend met the proprietor of native roots at a conference and spoke well of them, haven't tried it out myself. You might want to give leafly or weedmaps a look to see what's around. Kind Love usually has a decent looking selection and has a good reputation, if I were to buy flower in the city that I where I would go.

Just as a heads up, garden of the gods is around a 1.5 hr drive south, would be a pricey uber ride. If you can rent a car it would be considerably cheaper and you could also go through the mountains. That is definitely an excellent place to check out if you can get there.

Edit: if you go to a dispensary and the weed doesn't look good, just leave and go to the next one. You are under no obligation to purchase and if more people did this then they would have to step their quality up.

Edit 2: if you get a car, rocky Mountain national park has way more to do do and see and is about the same distance. Driving along trail ridge road is awesome.

If you had any questions about NR's selection I can advise.

The Sour Tsunami live resin is the best product coming out of the trap.
Mother's Milk shatter/wax is decent.
As for flower.....the Cult Classic line is currently being put in stores.
Carlsbad caverns, Tony Clifton, Elefante, Shape Shifter, etc.

Best REC flower ... 3 places in Denver.....pricey at times but worth it.
1. The Herbal Cure .... Sour Banana Sherbert
2. Den Rec ..... So many good ones, but Cookie Dough and a slew of Archive's strains too all bomb.
3. The Healing House......hands down best sativa I've found Sour Dope

The 14'er in Boulder is bomb, but pricey....fav strain Blackberry Banana kush and T.R.U.T.H.
