Help guys got a few questions ???

Hi there, this is my 3rd grow, I got really excited this time as my plant grew to about 3.5ft in high, Lovely green healthy plants to, Only thing is there very slow to flower, 7th wk now.I mean there is a bit of bud on em.Tri`s are still very clear. Ive always not had much bud when it came to harvest time,this time I taught I would of due to the size of the plant. Im thinking it might be because there are 5 plants "More than I Have ever had" and my light may not be strong enough????? Im only using a 125watt or poss 250watt ??? in a 3ft sq, 5 ft high box ???But temps are bang on so please remember this when answering me. oforward to your replys as its a bit dis heartning.. cheers again in advance

Also I bought seeds off a banner from the site, And all seeds germinated which was a 1st, also were very fast.

Not enough info.

What strain? You may have a Sativa which are slow to flower and have lesser yields. Soil or hydro? 5 gallon buckets or 3" rockwool cubes? How far away is the light? What type of lamp? Not to be mean but, how can you not know it's wattage?

Weak light is a distinct possibility. Or not enough root structure to support vigorous growth. But those are guesses.

durban poision!! soil all mix, 3.5 gallon buckets, ha ya i know dude still a bit of a sleepy head on me its a 250w hps have it about 10 inchs away, seams to be distrubited evenly around the box to all the plants. what about watering then might i not be givin them enough (jush over half a pint every 2nd day)

let's see some pics of your setup and plants. Sounds like you may be watering too much,although if the plants look happy.........

You may need to add(More) light. That could cause the skimpy buddage.

A 250 watt light is not strong enough for a 3.5' foot plant.

Also when you say 3ft sq. Do you mean a 3 sq. ft. or a 3'x3' area which would be 9 sq ft. If it is 3'x3' you really need at least a 400W light.

You should also consider doing a scrog or LST grow instead of of a normal grow with the 250W. It will really help boost up your harvest.

Yes you are right but a 400W light will do quite well in a 3x3 area.

Scrog or SCReen Of Green is when you use a screen to train your plants and LST you basically tie the plants down. Either way the point is to get a even canopy and control the highth of it.

you say it's a "3ft area" what does that mean ? please give length x width. height is not an issue as 5' should be plenty. also, i wonder about your watering schedule; you seem to be giving them a LITTLE bit of water, frequently, which would result in the roots always being wet, thus deprived of oxygen. the idea is to give them a good, thorough watering, then let the soil dry out a bit so that oxygen can reach the roots.

You are only feeding them 1/2 pint every other day?? That is 8 ounces. Do you have any runoff?? Do they look dehydrated? Listen to green_grow, you might want to water more but on a less frequent basis. Good luck.

Really lads water is not a prob, My plant are big green and healty, I have that much right including temps, I just think I got a bit of a horn on me with the amount of plants and the small wattage bulb, Plus maybe the size of grow room.Last grows have been ok but maybe lackin in bud. I feel its a bigger light I need or else few plants growing.But I really think watering is grand.I hope to leave for a few more weeks,as I know the bud will start to swell, Ive looked at Tri`s and there all still nearly clear.I guess more time will tell. When I first started growing the plants always had to be topped during flowering(sucks).


I started flowering 10 to 14 day old clones. Now I have a room full of 2 foot colas.
I have much more production by having more smaller plants. SOG type.
I avoid stretch by adding 6500 k spectrum during stretch.
It takes a period of time to tweak your grow.
Be patient keep records.
Start with more than you need and remove undesirable plants. I start with 2x as many plants as I finish with.
It is real hard to toss a plant but overall your grow will be more productive.
