help get my humidity down

alright well I'm about 20 days into flower and everything is looking absolutely beautifull. My only problem is that I can't get my humidity down past 50%. this isn't all that bad but I had a little bit of rot last time and I don't want to deal with it this time.

So I'm probably going to box in this corner with the intake and the de-humidifier with the front of the de-humidifier sticking out pushing the highly de-humidified air in. now my question is, will that restrict airflow too much? and if so should I just cut a couple of holes in the box to let extra air in? and if so where?

thanks

i got pretty confused by your question.. why cant you just run the de-humidifyer in your room? and if you suck in air from a room or a "boxed in corner" of a room that has a RH of 30%, then you will slowly change your flower rooms air to 30% unless you ahve something giving off crazy amounts of RH.. then you will be battling yourself.. you have resavoirs in your room? are those bio buckets? DWC?

I'd try removing the dedicated intake to the dehumidifier since it's preventing the dehum from removing moisture from the room air....and the plants are what's creating most of the humidity, so it's kinda pointless to dry the air before sending it into the room with all those moisture producing plants.

Alright well what would be the best way to set thing up? Have the de-humidifier close to the plants? mabey put the intake of the D-H facing the plants, thus sucking the humdity from it's source? but then again the air outside has a humidity of about 45-50 so it might help to box in the corner?

everyone please respond, I want to hear everyones ideas.

As long as you have good ventilation amongst the plants, just stick it in the room and let it do it's thing.

If you exhaust the room too fast it can defeat the dehum since it won't have adequate time to remove the moisture from the air.

If you're running CO2, you can just seal the room and use no intake/exhausts...that'll help improve the efficiency of the dehumidifier as well...

I think you should get a dehum and put it right behind the plants or infront of them...

thats were the mostures commin from...

could also be the rez temps.
