Help figuring out clone room methods

I am a mess figuring out what set up I am going to do for my first indoor grow. But I feel I have come to a resolve. I am going to use the ebb&grow http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/ebb-gro-12plant-hydroponic-grow-system-p-1640.html
for my flower room and a modified drip system for my veg and mother room. The modified drip system isn't anything but a thought at the moment so I am looking for feed back. I am restricted to about 5 foot of vertical space so I need to keep my drip res pretty shallow. Instead of a 20 gallon reservoir I am thinking of getting like (4) 5 gallon tubs that are more long than deep and connecting them with PVC pipes. That way I am in the 20 gallon range but have minimal height being used. I then can construct a simple and short table to set my 2' x 4' growing tray upon it. Total height guesstimated 1.5 foot. What is the feed back on this ?

A 5 gal bucket only saves an inch of height, if that. The size difference is in L&W not H. Multi buckets mean multi connections, this means more things to break and leak.

Where's the clone question?

The multi bucket is the drip system witch is wjere I want to put my clones and mothers. What I mean by multi bucket is multi rubber made tubs. These are the reservoirs that the drip system uses. I want to get a few shallow tubs instead of one tall and large rubber made tub. These tubs would be layed down in a square fashion and possibly connected with one inch inner diameter pvc pipe so that the water in them will dispersed evenly. Can u picture this ?

Wood and pond liner is your friend. My old res was under 9" tall and held ~25 gallons in a 2x4" area. It cost about $35 to make two of them. Entier flood/drain table and res was under 15" tall....

get wood cut where your buying it and you only need a drill and stapler to assemble.
