Help Fast!

Hey, shes 1 week into flowering. All the sudden this problem started at the bottom of the plant and is spreading upwards. The leaves that get it, fall off and die. Any ideas?

Which nute? She "needs" to be kept, as she is the only one currently growing. 3 more seeds are germing, but she just has to pull through first. Any ideas on what to try/do?

it looks kinda like nute burn rather than a deficincey IMO. if its the first week of flowerin and ur using a fert thats not totally organic (fox farm, etc) you might've burnt it, so i would try n flush it and see how she reacts, maybe give it a very lite feeding. check out that link ocanibis gave you and bookmark it, it saves lives! peace :joint:

I was also going to ask if you are getting the bottom leaves real wet when you water and fert the plants. I have had plants do that after a couple feedings where I wasnt careful and soaked the lower leaves with to strong of ferts.....

Thanks for the help:

JJ-Nope, that wouldn't be it in this case, it seems to be spreading upwards.

Bloom ferts havent begun yet, the grow ferts were used at 50% strength of the reccomended dosage, and it was a 20-20-20 plant grow food.

The pot it is in his a weire built in drain, like a screen and 1 inch empty underneath for drainage, so you can't really tell if its draining. A 1 inch hole will be cut there tommarow to allow for drainage, then the PH tested, and probably will result in a flush. How exactly would you flush it with details?

Give us more info like what kind of nutes? How much of it used? And how long ago?

The last time was about a week ago, its a generic plant grow formula, with 20-20-20 rating. It gets diluted at 50% strength and added to 500 ml of water, then watered.

hey bro...well, first things, id recommend another fertilizer, organic if possible, something to better meet the needs of your fruit. 20-20-20 isnt too bad, but you want something with a little less nitrogen for flowerin & IMO, not so hot (maybe a 3-7-6) so its harder to burn ya girls. As far as the flushing, I usually do 2x the container. For instance, a 1 gallon pot will get about 2 gallons of water, a 3 gallon i usually will pour 3-5 gallons of water and so on...i kinda just water by the weight of my pots, so i know when they're drenched to the max or when they can take some more. good luck man, keep us updated! peace :joint:

Maybe I'm seeing things...but isn't that a caterpiller pokin out from behind the right side of that leaf in the middle?

Maybe that has something to do with it...

sorry man, after re-reading your post, you said that the 20-20-20 was your grow fert. what kind of nutes will you be using for flower? did you do a transplant before introducing to flower? peace

key question ! :D

Ya, I think so too. It's in a small cab with no way to access any outside environments. I think its pretty safe from caterpillars and bugs. So, what's my next step? Flush with 2x my soil amount with straight water and then start with bloom nutes at half strength?

Maybe...

I blew it up 150% at first (that pic above) then I blew that up 200%, and you can see four legs and two antennae.

It also appears to be behind one leaf and in front of another.

The shadow and light on it appears to be the same as would be on a 3-dimensional object.

If it's just a burn, it's an amazing coincidence.

I think this is some spot on solid advise. You are at the same point in flower as I am & my plants have no problems & look great. So, the first thing that popped into my head was.........what are we doing differently. It's the ferts!!
What I've been using is not so hot. Some MJ plants can be sensitive to ferts.
If you do like Wil said & flush, make sure you let the pot drain really well & the soil dry some before you water again (or you'll have an over watering problem next, hehe). Then take it really easy on the flowering ferts.

Oh, and what looks like a caterpillar.......bet that's just a spot on the leaf behind. Those buggers would chew chunks out of the leaves. Of course. I can't see the whole plant though, hehehe. :chin:

Good luck & hope you get things straightened out!! :yummy:
