HELP! Deficiency Identification!

Hi All,

I have no idea what is going on here. A week ago on the Gorilla Glue all the pistols started dying off so initially we thought it was pollenated cause the strain has a tendency to do that but no signs anywhere on it or near it of hermie, then we thought broad mites but have found no signs of them anywhere either. Started to think it was a ph issue so it was flushed twice in the past week, once with flora kleen and then ph'd water with some compost tea and pro-biotic tea, however I did not do a full flush (ie. 3x pot size) The soil is topping at 7-7.5 even at the roots but I am using a digital soil meter that jumps to 9 then quickly goes down to 7.5. I then started to think nitrogen toxicity but this is getting worse as time goes on. The pistols are all pretty much dying or dead with no new growth after the flush and now the leaves are really showing issues. Could this be a Cal/Mag issue?

The pics are actually a progression of the last 10 days. I am starting to see some of the beginning issues like this on other plants. I really want to correct this one cause it has been my favorite because of it's origin story, but fear it could be too late. If anyone has had this type of issue and has recovered decently please let me know that as well, I really wanted to have this plant run it's full potential but at this point ill settle for decent regrowth :(.

I will do this first thing. I just changed my filters and am filling my tank now. I was thinking of giving it 5 gallons of fresh water ph at 6.2 with some cal/mag. Would this be a bad idea if there is still some lockout going on?

I am in a soil mix. My ph should only change a couple .points if all is well in there. If more either way there is lockout so would it be beneficial to add a small amount of nutes or cal/mag at the end of the flush? or best to just wait until the medium dries enough?

PH issues, over watered, root rot, bad mix. I would not say "russet mites". You would have severely ducked up looking plants with twisted leaves, little leaves, dead pistols no frost, the list goes on. I just think your a victim of over aggressive feeding and watering in soul which led to you possibly having a lock out. If your flushing in soil I would not add anything, plants can't uptake cal/ mag in the proper ratio if you don't have a complete mix, forget the actual name of what that process is called but just cal/mag is not your answer. Your also compounding your situation more believe or not by constantlyflushing and not giving your medium time to dry. So honestly I would not feel right telling you to flush if your medium is saturated and has been saturated for few days. Let it dry out a bit and take from there.

Thanks md, definitely over nuted them while over watering. They were bone dry today so I did a full flush on a couple but the rest I gave them a a 2 gal dose of properly ph water with H2o2 and will continue this for the next few waterings. Do you have any other suggestions to help get them out of this state. The one in the picture is the worst by far.

When we had different cultivars, some would get "micro nug syndrome" , was mostly an excess of potassium.... But yeah the high ph can't be helping.... If your in an organic soil. Mix maybe try earth juice microblast to get your ph down...is all sulphates... Gypsum could possibly tie up some excesses of other cations...

Common misconception about flushing, pure water will remove less salts and make a medium less ph stable than a balanced feed or one high in calcium(a cation) because the charge will grab anions and pull them out of the soil... Anyways good luck!

A top dress of pure peat could lower ph and maybe buffer nutes too if you don't want to add more feed...
