HELP BURNED BAD

BOO HOO. I am fucked. I came home today to find that my light had fell and broke and burned the bigger of my two flowering blockheads. She was a real looker. I am in shock still. hopefully the smaller one that needed another week of veg will have some of miraculous giant sized buds. I doubt it though. shame the plant that got mangled would of been a great yielder. Any ways to the Question I would like help with. the lamp fell between the plants. the light stayed on and burned the shit out the stalk. I trimmed all ruined material away. The stalk seems to be totally bleached from the light and cooked probably. Anyone ever have this happen? please fill me in on your results. I will go take a photo before the light goes out. Only having two plants this is devastating to me. I would love to try and salvage whats left of her but she could herm or just die from this big of a snafu. sorry to be going on and on Just seems like a bad day got worse. I am going to smoke a few then I will post a Pic. Wish I had a before pic but i have not been documenting this grow. thanks for reading this I hope I hear some positive results with the blond stem.

horrible, man. Especially to a blockhead plant! That plant has dignity bro i would put her down. Can't let her live a cripple. Besides, you can root clones and veg them up just as fast as nursing back a sick one.

If they were my girls I would immediately have them Air-Lifted to the Burn Unit at Shriners Childrens Hospital. Just Kidding man. It really Sucks ! I would rather see Michael Jackson burn-up on a Pepsi commercial then see anyones plants get burned-up. Hope they pull-through.

thanks for the laugh, trouble. yeah its my first go @ blockhead. here is a pic of the cleaned up aftermath. my cab only has 2 plants, now 1 & 1/2. they are @ day 23 of 12/12. Live and learn. I am sick with myself. I just moved up my light a couple of days ago and used a couple of zipties to secure it. Big mistake. thanks for the feedback I am feeling a lot better. I am going abroad for 2 weeks in october so I am not sure if I will be able to pull off a run b4 that. got no one to watch the kids when I am gone. Gonna Have to just ride this one out and chalk it up to learning the ropes. last grow I learned the importance of not having light leaks. funny the lessons learned the hard way are the hardest to forget. its hard to tell but the wounded plant lost more then 1/2 of it size. sorry for the hps but i am to lazy to remove the orange tint. if the main stem didnt cook so bad I might be more optimistic on its revival.

well I figure I would post a couple of pics to show how this effects her. here are some more from today. she seems to be doing allright. Iwill update a couple more times. c ya

West, Sorry to see/hear about your whoopsie. Don't sweat it kiddo, these things happen, and we live to learn. Ever seen My Cousin Vinny? There's a part where he's trying to justify the fact that the judge keeps throwing HIM in jail, the lawyer for the defendants. He says it's because he's learning court procedure 'as he goes', and likens it to the rebuilding of a carburetor.

"You gotta take the carb outta the manifold before you replace any of the jets, otherwise, you leave it in, and as you're removing the jet, it falls, rolls inside the manifold. Now you're fucked. You just learned, the hard way, you gotta remove the carb before working on it. That's all that happened today- I learned, the hard way,
how an arraignment is supposed to work. Actually, it was a good learning experience!"

So you just learned, the hard way, that when you make any major adjustments to your lights, intake, exhaust, timer, whatever, you do a dry run for 24 hours, sans plants. That way if anything goes wrong/fails, the plants don't have to learn anything the hard way.

Obviously, I learned this lesson, too. So the good news I have for you, is that this plant will probably pull through. It seems like part of the stem is still green, which means there are still functioning phloem/xylem within the stem. My plant suffered similar damage, and the portion above the burn continued to grow, albeit not as vigorously as the rest of the plant. (I had topped to 4 colas, was on one of the stems)

As this is the meristem, it's not entirely burned (non-fatal, for sure) and there is a lot of lush greenery on the rest of the plant, I suspect you might have gotten away pretty lucky. (Let alone that you found it....imagine if the light had enough time to dry out the plant....FUEGO! POLICIA!) I figure you're gonna lose some off of the 'potential' end dry-weight, but I think you will be amazed at how resilient this weed really is. I certainly was....'specially in retrospect....

Stay Safe!

Yeah man, it looks to me like she'll be just fine! The vegetation looks purdy darn healthy.

Sometimes the slightly messed-up girls end up being the hottest ones! A little stress can do some wonderful things to ganja :D

well things have taken a turn for the worse. I was hoping it was stress but now I think it just might be dead or dying really fast. here are a couple of pics of her now. trouble is her roots are tangled with the other plants . how can i remove it . what should i do?
