Ok so here we go. i just get an e-mail from my LL who I have never met and who lives 40 miles from me, and he says that he needs to do a inspection of my place on Monday the 5th with city inspectors because his rental lisecense is coming due. Now since i am not running a monster op i can take it down and put it back up although it is a horrible pain in the ass! My question is this where do i put 10 large plants that are on day 30 of flowering in 5 gallon buckets each? i almost didnt even post because i figure i will have to figure it out on my own due to the individual circumstances, but hey maybe there are some ideas out there that i havent thought of? i may have to rent a van for the day i don't know, but these things are so nice and so close to being done that there is no way i am taking them down. MFer!! ideas please...... :cuss:

Better safe than sorry bro..... when i used to get visits....I would break the whole show down, Box everything up if possible...Rent a Van or small uhaul...Move Very early in the morning....If anyone asked i was takin stuff to storage...but no one asked...clean the house/apt.... and ur good.... If you had a safe house you could go setup a coupla lights so they wont get too stressed... and bring them back in the early morn.If not, just keep them in the van in a nice cool spot.. maybe u get nanners...maybe not....just be on the lookout for them....all in all the inspection shouldnt be that long and if u had to u could bring 'em back right after they leave....I look at it as a way to rebuild my room more effecient.... good luck ...

If you are growing Indicas in those 5 gal pots you have a decent chance of not seeing any nanners before harvest, and if you do you could always harvest a bit early.

^^ Get the U-Haul and park it somewhere safe, IE not near kids or heavy foot traffic. If the inspection lasts for more than a day (which it should not) you could always rush your supplies to a storage center before closing. If you are real worried about nanners, you could also pick up a high powered flash light and leave it on inside your U Haul.

I have been a landlord and the only time I had inspectors was for Section 8. Is this in some rent controlled city or something?

If its cool out, stick them in a van, and try to rig some floro lighting for them to keep them in 12/12. Shouldnt really be too hard

My Landlords were selling their house to investors.... they always gave plenty of notice....and they came maybe 2-3 times in a year....

i have plenty of notice. a week about. no not section 8. he said he was renewing his rental liscense and thats why it needs to be done? i doubt they would give me so much notice if it was a tactic to ruffle my feathers? I am a bit confused? nanners? what the hell is that? hermies? if not what? how does it get caused? i should only have to move them out from 6 to maybe 12; 6 hours..i am just worried about the outside temps being 40-50. i was thinkin i could just shove them in seperate closets, as they probably won't open them, but smell...ah i will figure it out, but more on nanners please.

Nanners are hermie male parts. They are created after there has been a disruption in the photo period of flowering. If it happens late enough in flowering it won't even effect it at all. In fact if your late enough in flowering you can turn lights on 24/7 and it still won't do a damn thing.

I had my lights on for 1 full day and I am about 40 days into flowering. I wonder if Ill be okay.

ah well all went well i put them in large garbage bags, one bag on bottom one on top at around 6 pm sunday, brought them out to a van at 6 am monday and put them back under their lights at 1 pm monday, so if anything their dark peroid was extended a bit. i did bend a few of the stems on the main colas but i staked them and taped them ( velcroed) and all should be well. could have probably kept the whole thing up as the inspection was like 5 seconds and they barley even came in, but hey better safe then sorry. The van rental set me back 150 and i will spend a bunch of time reconsttucting, but hey it gave me a chance to fix some problems and get up and close with each plant which i hadnt done with the ones in the back in a while...hopefully i didnt attract any attention filling a rent a van with garbage bags and then unloading the same garbage bags 6 hours later, but honesytly dont think anyone saw me. i even had the balls to drive the van to get butts, man that thing stunk.

BUMP! I have an spections that is gonna happen tomorrow at my arpartment and I am worried about it. Its a stealth file cabinet grow and the only way u can tell is if you look on the back... but in order to do that you need to crawl under my desk...

The note said something about some Management staff and individuals from the bank that holds mortage on my apartment complex are coming by... Sayings its part of a mandatory inspeaction of the building.

What do you guys think is the best thing for me. I know I shouldn't be that worried but would they ever ask you to open certain things that are personally yours? I am thinking about just taking out the plants and putting them in a suit case and leavin it in my room for now.. or should i just put the suit case in my car? I was also thinking should i leave the cab under my desk or just take it out for now and put that in my car as well... better safe than sorry? I am kind of being really paranoid right now and worried and this is the first time they are doing this type of inspection... They usual just inspect fire sprinklers and detectors on a monthly bases and those are fine... Any sueggestions and personal experience to handle this situation would be great. Thanks

nice work bro. thats exactly what i would have done except i would have walked to the store. imagine getting caught after you pulled it off for a light out on the rental? i try and break one law at a time ;) glad all went well for you. plants are resilient they will be fine.

to foil; I wouldn't worry bro, its probably an appraisal, or inspecting certain areas of the building that may be damaged and estimating repair costs, last thing they will do is look through your person things, if its not part of the building structure, they won't be 'inspecting' it. I would only be concerned with the smell.
