please help, light cycle broken have been running 8am (on) till 8pm (OFF) 4 weeks into flower, woke this morning to find lights still on thus giving them 24 hr shift. had a quick look at some forums and made decision to switch off at 8.15am on mixed advice. what would be best to do, leave off for 24hrs and return to 12/12 at 8am, going back to original times or just give 12 hrs dark and go 12/12 at 8pm tonight. please all good advice greatly accepted, many thanks.

to be honest it shouldnt make any difference which option you choose after one night. the rumours about that sort of thing generating problems was more of an excuse for poor breeders to blame their poor genetics on growers faults rather than their own to avoid having to give refunds or have it hit their sales.

Just for your peace of mind, GMT has you covered. 1 night won't affect anything. Should it happen again, favor the night period. Give it a full nights sleep and anytime after that, start the light regimen anew.

i agree, you will be fine, just make sure they get 12 hours of darkness, then get them back on 12/12.

Do not make a habit of this and look into why the lights stayed on. Timer failure?

do you have a contactor on your timer as the surge at on time can kill your timer, google it if you have'nt,i know i am much happier since getting one but i also grew with a 400 without when i did not know any better with no probs
