I've been doing a little project as of late with some 'Breeder Seed' made from Skunk Haze and Northern Lights Genetics. So it's full of Equatorial Sativa, Hardy Indoor Indica, Thai and Afghani chachteristics. A blend of wold flavours.
I need 'Soil" growers to help me move my project along.
I ideally want to find the best parental lines as that's the best thing to offer the public, the best without the rest, however I do not have a breeders licence or glasshouse space to grow 'ear to row'.
So I require progeny testing and feedback.
My Goal with this first cross I made with the first pack of "breeders seed" was to make or combine as much as was possible whilst keeping the classic flavour. I've done this by segregating the plants and crossing them individually.
I now have various mother plants that will give various 'progeny' results. We/I need to find the seed mother or mothers containing or passing the best 'Physiological Attributes'.
I'd like feedback on which one has he best 'Germination Percentage or Viability' under "Standerdized" Indoor conditions.. Or better put "The ability to grow unhindered and emerge from 'soil' and produce a plant under Normal Conditions'"
This will be used as data for us to determine the seed vigour of the various mothers.
Seed vigour is the 'seed type' capacity to emerge and survive under potentially stressfull conditions and grow rapidly under favourable conditions.
(For this to work best I need less experienced growers to take part as well as the master horticulturalists amongst us)..
I need to know about Genetic Attributes, any or all you can list.. So keep a diary.. (I want to remain impartial from creating hype)
The first seed lot soon to be exclusively with Gypsy Nirvana.. Remember this is an ongoing project that we will all learn from, particulary interesting will be discovering the Genetic Attributes of each line as various conditions are used for cultivation..
The goal is to find the line with the best 'Physical Attributes.' Before we get that far I need to select out the weak.. Not throw it away just yet but note what has caused what.
Throughout the project we will see the various combining ability of the parental plants that will help learn more about the 'GCA/SCA'. Specific combining ability and General combining ability.
I passed 20 seeds last night to a Grower who is in my opinion "without equal". The goal of which is to release pictures in a professional surrounding. Plants grown by a contracted skilled Technician working under classic horticultural procedures.
