I have helicopters fly over my house all the time. I must live near a helipad or something. Anyways yesterday I had a police/search and rescue helicopter fly over very low to the ground. The only reason I'm worried about this is a have a couple of my babies outside near the timberline. Do the police need a warrant to fly over your house to look for plants? and if they already had a warrant wouldn't they just knock on my door?

I may be wrong( and if so i stand corrected), but if your plants are outside and the choppers see them then that is probable cause and they can do somthing at that point. Its them seeing a crime being committed. They do however need a warrent to use flir and look in your house. But honeslty for a couple of plants i dont htink you need to worry about a chopper. They suck up alot of fuel and cost the state alot of $$ to use. So i dont think they would be used for spotting a few girls. more like for a field is what they are looking for.
Just make sure your plants have alot of vegiation around them and you shoudl be fine with just a few. Rescue choppers aint looking for plants , they are in a rush to get to a victim or to get victim to a hospital. Not having the time to stop and look for plants.

In my neck of the woods one or several plants is *exactly* what they're looking for.
Also I'm curious to know what causes you to believe cost is a limiting factor in this here war against us?

i dont think cops are after 1 or 5 plants.
i have PD fly over my house like 20+ times / day
if there outside in plain sight they dont need a warrent.
if there inside they need a warrent to use FLIR to see for heat. (alloya vs usa)
but like i said doubt there after 1 or 2 no matter what area. they need some meat it costs alot fo to keep these pigs going. even they are going to turn there nose up to a 2 lb bust. they think there better then that.
you should be safe unless ur MJ is THE ONLY plants in the area..

thanks for the info. The plants are out in plain sight. the reason this helicopter worried me was it was lower than the ones i see daily, and a few days before i saw the helicopter i saw the police drive up and down my street(which is odd because it dead ends).
I'm hoping that if they were going to come in and bust me they would have by now. I am still feeling a little paranoid though.

they are not flying at a cost of 900-1200 per flight hour looking for 1 3 5 or even 20 plants they are searching bigger gardens.
in my area i have camp/dea choppers flying nearly daily at bearly above tree top level low enough to feel the rotor wash from the ground when they fly dirrectly over.
at my place they fly up ,count plants wave and fly away.
if they count numbers too high you can bet your on a list , i believe they compile a list of gardens then prioritize from there.
they only have budget enough for so many raids and their funding for the next year is based on their take from the previous year . they want assets , big houses , fancy cars big bank accounts .

alot of time the heli is also helping the ground units. doing 'rounds' alot of more then just looking for some dumb plants.
although CAMP is just for plants but thats mainly rural.

if you live in the backwoods, why not dig a trench in your driveway and use a portable bridge that can be withdrawn?? There is not way they would deal with the hassle of bringing in heavy eqip from the national guard, they would probably turn around and leave when confronted with 1000 pound rocks and a 6 foot feep trench. This could easily be done with a small backhoe

The heli's are pretty slick, it's the ones with the camera; most other pilots don't fly so low and they don't really look down when they are low.....coming in or takign off is something you don't want to mess up doing.
