Heineken mini keg

Has anyone else tried these yet.It has 5 litres in it.It has it's own CO2 supply, just open the tap and beer comes out.I'm not much of a drinker myself,I like the smoke, but this is good beer.Fresh draught Heineken and fresh buds had me missing Amsterdam ever more than usual. If you are going over a friends house it's better than showing up with two 6-packs. :joint:

Ive bought the mini kegs before. They are way too pressurized. I get too much foam in my beer. And yes I know how to pour a draft beer. They now have other beers in the mini keg.

I prefer Heineken Light in a bottle now. Its really good.

Somewhat off topic, but I heard Heineken is better when its not so cold. The subtle aromas aren't apparent unless the beer is warmer. In my experience this is true too.

disagree strongly, but I guess it's a matter of taste -- had the "extra-cold" version henieken in amsterdam

i do agree with the above poster about the heni-light, that's good stuff

ah, nycdfan loves these things. personally, i can't drink heineken.. too bitter!

heineken light is ok, the aftertaste isn't that bad. and yes light beer is still beer, just for wussies like me :biglaugh: j/k. some people just don't like the bitterness i suppose.

now if they had the mini kegs of heini-light i'd probably go for it.. =)

ive got one of those sitting in my recycling bin right now, almost as good as off a full sized keg, but too much foam in the beginning and end of the mini keg

whats the deal with the light beer ? light in alcohol or calories ?
i looked on heineken website and it looks like they brew the light just for the usa .

i prefer the bottles over kegs

I'd rather just get a full keg of Magic Hat.

Also 'light beer'...isn't beer...it just isn't.

Magic Hat Rules!!!!!

Probably the one thing I miss most about the east coast.

#9 and Fat Angel are my favorites.

i have been drinking guiness cans lately. They have those little plastic balls inside the cans which release nitrogen i think? anyway, it pours a nice glass with a great head.

I wish they made micro brews in mini kegs like that, that would rock. Like Sierra Nevada or Anchor Steam, Ballast Point, heck any California Ale in a keg like that would be Sick!
Heineken is alright, but tastes kinda funny to me, I guess there's just no sweetness to it, I almost prefer most german,English, mexican, japanese, beers over it...Micro brews are still my all time favorites tho, like cured green buds..
