Heat

I'm not exactly a NEW grower, but I've only done indoors for about 6 years now and only played at it as a teenager too. I only closet grow. I started with CFLs, got a 150 HPS, tried 90W UFO LED, now doing Blackstar 240W LED.

This summer will be real hot one. Heat issues will dominate. I've read since my cab is in a closet, heat would always be a problem. Crap! But I try anyway.

Even though my intake is from outside and my light is only on at night my temps have been 82-84F always in this current heat wave the last couple weeks, no matter what, turn down my central air, have big floor fan blowing in closet, nothing. Since I'm almost week 6 of flower I don't want to do anything drastic, like I'm thinking I need to expand the exhaust to better that 2:1 exhaust:intake ratio, but I'd have to do some major cutting and drilling and most probably it would only have minimal results because the cab is in a closet anyway. I think my harvest will be way less than normal because I haven't seen much growth in the past 2 wks. My question: I have read growth actually stops after 87F, but will 82-84F hurt or maybe kill my plant?

mj grows in full sun where the temps reach over 120 degrees. as long as you have air exhausting, and using led's, should be fine. when heat causes issues is, when there is no air exhausted from the space.

You should be fine with those temps as long as you are exchanging the air...or using CO2. Those are your options. My temps are regularly in that range..no problem.
