so im going to be flowering soon, but unless its 50 degrees outside (which is rare even in the dead of winter) i run into heat issues in my tent. its a sliver edition hydro hut im using a 1000w setup, with a 6 inch ecoplus fan. but anyways here is a pic of my setup i leave the doors on the hut open so its sucking air in and exhausting it out. attached its a pic of the set up. so if anyone has a similar set up or would like to give there .2 i would appreciate it thanks.

How big is your fan and tent?

Im going to assume a 4x4 with that 1Kw so you have about 115cusqft @ 3x a min is 38 cfm for exausting the tent, but thats rediculous so I would suggest at leat 10-15 a minute exchange with a 1k in that tent. Id go with at least a 150cfm fan for that.

I use .4 cfm per watt for coolig only.so that would be...... 250cm

Plus some extra cfm for the pressure of the scrubber. How big is it?

are you pulling or pushing through a scrubber?

So I would at least have a 250cfm for the light + 150cfm for exhaust + 100cfm for added circulation and scrubber presure. And of course small fans inside the tent.

So if id want a single fan setup Id go with a 500+ CFM "Vortex" style fan.

Or two 250cfm fans and have seperate scruber and coolin duct runs.

What type of hood do you have? its a hydro farm cool sun something like that with glass

im not using a carbon scrubber or intake its purely pulling the air through the tent and into the opening of light and exhausting out i really need to do a diy muffler for the fan its loud the tent is the 4x4 hyrdro hut silver i leave all the opening on the tent 100% open unless its in the dark period and im using a 6 inch ecoplus fan

How many cfm's is that 6''? without a scrubber I would use at least a 400cfm if not a bit more to help with circulation.

how many small fans do you hve blowing around inside?

How long is the run after your fan? you could be loosing a ton of cfm is its to long.

A cheap easy muffler is to get a big moving box, cut a hole it the side make a little tube outta screen and put panty hose over it, attach to hole (inside thebox). fill it with packing foam cut a bunch of holes around the top and........ A CHEAP AIR DIFUSER.

Do you have the additional holes at the top of the tent sealed off? if not air may not be curculating under the canopy like it should.....?

EDIT-- I just saw the drawing..... how far of a run from the hood to the fan? gotta be 450+ cfm to work like that IMO. Also Do you have a fan blowing directly under and across the hood to disipate heat right off the glass?

i think its 465 cfm i have 3 small clip fans always on the total length of the tubing i would say is under 5 feet from light to outdoors as far at the top goes there are sleeves for tubing but there open as well im going to try that box mod and im going to upgrade next time around on the fans i want something quiet and efficient and recommendations?
