I have a bathroom fan (95 m³/h) in the top that sucks out air from the closet and 4 holes in the bottom for fresh air( whitout fans)

on my reflector a have a computer fan to suck the heat out

i dont have a circulation fan in there right now but i am planning on getting one

excuse my english!! :)

Is there any other way to get the temp down? I cant buy a new fan untill the end of next month :/
thanks for the help!

maybe you can make a kind of cool tube ?I would search for cool tubes on a budget in diy section. And if it's not the case, get the ballast out of the grow space.you may also consider widening your intraction hole and/or bring fresh air (if available some place near the closet)with your pc fan.
good luck.

i'm sure throwing in fans for circulation will definitely help. it may not drastically lower your temperatures but having the air circulated around the box is much better than just still air.

what's the temperature of the ROOM the box is sitting in? just trying to figure out how many more degrees hotter it is than its surroundings. gives an idea if your ventilation is adequate.

i believe your options are:

-make the intakes larger
-increase the power of your exhausting fan
-add a cool tube or a plane of glass to place over the light
-move the box to a cooler location/get air conditioning for the room
-perhaps using ducting tubes, you can guide the hot air that your PC fan is sucking from the light to somewhere outside the box so it doesn't get mixed with the air in the growing environment

the only option that I can guarantee a significant reduction in temperatures would be to add a stronger exhausting fan

where does the hot air go?....into the same room as your box?...if so get it out if you can throu a window or into the roof space or wall if smell isnt going to travel throu the other ppl's living spaces like in flates or apartment ect.....keepin the room cool that the box is in is going to help alot.ive gone throu the same problems running over 4k of lights in a 10 x 10 foot room with the same bathroom fans....this year i hope to use inline fans if i can keep the noise of them down.having a fan inside to blow the air around as mentioned will also help.i know what its like when cash is tight and equipment is needed.good luck.HH. =]-~

thanks for all the help!!
my closet is in a room that has a balcony oan the door is always open, the room temp is between 20 - 23 degrees. the hot air is going out from the closet in to the room that the closet is standing in.

im gonna get a fan for circulation and place a plane of glass over the light and see if it helps:) if it doesnt maybe getting ducting tubes and guide the heat to the balcony.

really hope to get this working soon.. I have one Mazar and one powerplant about 1 week old.. gonna post some pictures when i get it working:)

thanks again!!

Alright if the room your cab/closet sits in is 80+F then you need to shut that balcony door and turn on your homes A/C too cool that room to 70-75F...buy some MDF (medium density fiberboard) and make a window box for the balcony door...this way you can exhuast your hot stale air out the balcony door via ducting and from the outside it will look normal.

His room/ambient temperature is already in the low 70's. 20-23 degrees C = low seventies F.
