Heat pad temperature?

Hello friends, I was wondering for those that use them what temps. do you usually set them at? I have fresh cut clones in 2 inch rockwhool cubes. I have it dialed in for 80 degrees

How are you guys controlling temps? I got a temp controller though it comes with a probe to detect the heat. I was wondering where the best place to put it was?

If I put directly on the tray, it would detect the heat quickly then toggle off the heatpad so the actual roots/rockwool would not really have time to heat up.

I was thinking about putting the probe in its own rockwool cube to get actual root temps.

Anyone have suggestions on this?

79 up to 84 .....yeehaw..stick sensor in middle pot/area as mats get hottest there...IMHO..i also run several pads off one controller...I put my probe right into the middle party cup of medium...putting it in its own small block of rockwool would work too..but then you have a tiny space not filled with weed man...
