Heat of the vent duct

Hi guys, getting a growroom in action, after a long halt. Bought an ikea grom shelf, 55x75x170cm. I'm thinking of having a flower room at the bottom, and mother/clone room at the top. Have a 150w HPS for flower and was thinking on a couple of T5's for the veg. I want to get some mylar all arround the shelf unit, and maybe make a door with velcro or something.
My doubt is, i have a cooltube to go with the bulb, and a inline vent, was thinking of duct the tube to outside the "tent" making a hole on the mylar (will have a couple of big ventilation ?grills? on the other side, forcing air to enter from the bottom). Would the duct get too hot and melt, or worse get the mylar on fire?

It might. Always plan for the safe side of things so that we don't read about your grow room fire and trip to the pokey. Insulate the duct or use insulated duct to begin with.

Did you remember to get a smoke detector to mount above the grow area?

Hi, thanks. In fact i didn't remember that but it's a great idea.
So the insulated duct might reduce the heat. This kind of duct is ok? Only the outside layer of duct touches the mylar, right?

I know this is an older post but I've had bad luck with the insulated stuff that looks like the inside lining is made out of a trash bag. Came loose and got caught in a fan. I wouldn't worry about the mylar catching (is it flammable?) as long as you have air going over it. How how would the exhaust air be and what would a spontanious combustion temp for your materials.
