healthy clones transplanted - 3 days later wilted

Bought some super healthy big clones from a nursery, never seen clones this healthy with many white roots. I transplanted them in 4.5 inch plastic pots with 1/2 recipe 420 1/2 salamander soil (coir and perlite) and about 10% bat guano. I packed the soil kind of tight and put down mykos (mycorrhizal) crystals, and put the roots right on them. Then I gave them a good dose of RO water. This was monday. Tuesday plants looked ok, but a little listless, wednesday even more so, now thursday they are looking wilted. The soil is still wet at the top so they have plenty of water.

The only thing I can think of is the soil is too hot (too much nutrients). But someone told me you really cannot burn plants with organic nutes, is that true. Anyway, I guess maybe I put a bit too much guano but being so healthy I figured they could handle it. What else could it be?

You should never fertilize plants when transplanting.
The soil they went into should not be rich in nutrients.
You should have waited a few weeks before adding the bat guano.
Flushing with lots of water and misting the plants may help.

Good Luck

I don't see how flushing will help, it's not like I used chemical nutes that I can flush out, the nutes are the soil.

Don't transplant, but do give your plants pure water from now on.

Regardless what happens your probably not going to do this again next time.

I made a lot of mistakes when I 1st started growing.
I still remember having deep blue water due to putting
way too much miracle grow in the water. It looked like
kids juice. Of course I killed my plants with it.

No, I won't do this again next time, but I don't want these plants to die because I paid a lot of money for them.

Keep in mind that the water was pure, it had no nutes at all.

Yes, the roots are not dry, they are plenty moist.

Keep the soil moist, They should snap back in a week or so. I had one fall completely over from transplant shock. It was fine after a week or so. I add bat guano to my soil when I transplant. Never any issues. Good luck.

Yes, you can burn plants with organic nutes, depending on what the nutes are and how heavily you overfed. Guano is the most likely organic nute to burn a plant with. Bat guano is mined from caves. Guano is bat shit and piss. Being indoors, out of the rain, the high N piss does not get leached out like other manures that get rained on. Yes, water well to leach the piss portion of the guano out of the pots. Good luck. -granger
