i read something in the cannabible 2 about vegan organics.
mentioned at the end of the article on a bit of a sour note...

"After all, who will guarantee that sack of commercially produced steamed bone meal does not contain mad cow disease or some other lethal infectious agent?"....

anyone have any opinions on this? any alternatives?...im planning on using expert mix...perlite...blood meal...bone meal....but i'm paranoid :frown: ....

I have heard the same thing. The last time I was reading about this subject, the mad cow disease was in English cattle. Now I'm seeing on the news that Canandian cows are now affected. So maybe it depends as to where your blood/bone meal is manufactered??

I used blood and bone meal in my currrent grow and got poor results.I'm not sure if I mixed it incorectly or if it was just old as I've had both for a couple of years.(didn't see an experation date)

Personally I don't see how that a disease like MadCow can be transferred from a infected cow through the process of steaming and to soil then through the plants use and finally through smoking plant matter to infect you. Just dosn't seem possible, I mean if it were that easy to contract the everyone would have it. As for the vegan methods that King talks about. Well I think the man is a little bias in his methods. To each his own and I am no expert by any means. Just my 2 cents worth.

hi guys of ICmag...i think the same thing of bigmo....cause madcow (BSE) infecting people by eating cerebral or neuro elements of cows.....plus the part of cow interested in the compost process are completely converted and sterilized by the reaction in the renuvation and mineralization system(the miracle of nature)....

BSE, its a big lie, it was made at porton fucking down, a chemical weapon, and theyre blaming it on meat to cover it up.

Soma and I recommend their use to revitalize or enhance organic soil mix and the nitrogen cycle is well known in nature so I see vegan ferting as the odd and controversial thing because although it's fine I see little risk in the use of these products. Don't just believe everything you read but my book will be out soon and you can bet it recommends the use of both of these natural byproducts. Nothing should be wasted IMHO. BOG

hi harry...i'm f****n according to u about "the system operation of fear "(the campain of fear)that can feel the consumer in a panic state ...involve a major consumption of every genre of tools(alarm, camera, bodyguard, etc etc)....

and this is a truth:
"Paranoia, is the criminal equivalent of intelligence!"
Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read.

but the lot of murdered people from madcow are not fake (in my country too)....it's a true fuckin deal of the disorder about the industry of cow and BEEF,,,,,those are livin in a slavering condition and them natural response produces a toxic substance in those organs(especially in the brain and in the neurological system of cow)...peace n respect------filimagno

...and your opinion is a very good deal for me!!!...
i take the occasion to bring u my compliments for ur effort on producing good cannabis as good thread in all this 2 years that i see the net's forums... :canabis:
in this years i've perfected my method of fertilization ...and compared to urs is probably some of similar...(1000 watt apart)

i use all two source of feeding(animals and vegetables)....but i use adding the organic "from animals" two months ago the plants potting...
for example i use worm casting and his humus during the renuvation of the exahust soilmix after the harvest..
and blood meal(dried) added two month ago from the supposed grow by them.
the same things for the guano kalong....
...about the veg compound...i've catched good results with the nord sea alga (alga special in my country)...sprayed or added to the normal BIOnutes with watering...
the plants seeems to being very good green happy...
CIAO at all

BOGgy, filimagno is my personal troll, if you can decipher his English and he irks you at all let me know, I'll give him a good whack and he'll shut up :D. He suffers from severe delusions of grandeur and though harmless is absolutely insufferable.

Well, possible, maybe, likely probably not.

I read up a little on mad cow after reading this and it seems that the prions can survive normal cooking and sterilization temps. It does reside in neuronal tissue especially in the CNS (brain and spine) but if someone slaughters a cow and has a pile of meat which also contains brains and spines the prions will move from the nervous tissue to other tissues. This also seems to occur naturally at the later stages of the infection (the spread of these infectious particles to non nervous system tissue)

But the question lies in whether the prions could migrate from soil to the plant. I doubt this is possible since plant tissues aren't similar to nervous tissue, and plants don't have a nervous system. The field of prion study isn't that advanced yet since these are relatively new.
I would guess there'd be no problem. But if you're still nervous, you don't HAVE to use bone and blood meal, you can use guanos or just feed by watering with a liquid organic fert.
I doubt the authors of the cannibible have the neccessary education to make a call like this and I find it off-putting that they would talk about it without proper knowledge. They should stick to what they know....pot.
