Headband question for the experienced

Anyone experienced with Headband have any input to share about this strain? From what I understand There are some clone only versions and lots of seed varieties as well. What would be some key traits to look for to identify the 'elite' cuts in veg or flower?
Would a Lemon/Menthol smelling (stem rub), stretchy Narrow leaf fit the description of any of the clone-only versions of Headband in veg? or does this sound like a seed derived phenotype?

Also any other info or opinions about this strain would be really interesting to read. :tiphat:

I run a ton of f2's soon to be f3's of the original release of Cali Connection's Sour OG which is Asshole Joe's cut of Original Diesel x SFV OG Kush IBL III . They are now using the SFV OGK IV for the 818 Headband but it is supposed to be very similar.

I love mine and would put it up against the best Sour D or OG on the market. In the subsequent generations I get a lot more variation compared to the F1's. Some leaning Sour D and others leaning SFV OG and even some looking Chem too.

The lemon pinesol comes out with the resin not really stem rubs n such on these. It smells like it could blow up if you lit a match too, lots of fuel in there! Super high cerebral with a hint of body buzz without any couch lock. Leaves are classic both SD and OG leaners. Some big fat rounding wide fingered leaves on this one and some super serrated hybrid leaning ones too.

Stays short without a ton of stretch upon blooming. I run it as a bush to usually around 60 days depending on the particular cultivar.

Recommended. Swerve has done a great job with this cross no matter what the haters say. Never seen a hermie in any of them either just super lemon funkadelicness!

I am going into week three of flower and have 5 plants from seed (fem'd) they streched a fair bit but that are looking nice.

Have you found topping them is a good idea? I only topped mine 1
Or two times before flipping them and the streched more than I was hoping. But either way they are looking pretty good most.

Can't wait till they start packing one that weights.
