HBD Problems...Anyone?

Anybody out there growing HBDs? I had problems with mine, 4 hermed 1 dwarfed, still waiting on the others. I have them under CFLs(18/6)...So, if anyone has the same experience with them, any info would be appreciated...

I've done 3 grows of HBD and never had an issue. No hermies, matter of fact, never had a hermie from any auto seed. Autos are still fairly new so not totally stable. You will get the occasional runt. I'd look at things that might be stressing them and causing the hermies. Light leaks, heat, etc.

I've not grown HBD but I've grown quite a variety of Auto's out now. I've never had a full blown hermie, but I've had a few pistillate males, and also fems that will pop the odd male flower at the beginning of flowering but continue as a female with no problems. (Nothing to stress them here)

Sounds unlucky though, have you got any pictures?

i germed 4 seeds,

2 never sprouted, other 2 turned out male.

Don't think there was anything wrong with them, just luck of the draw

They were Reg beans, they had a great start(except for the runt),then all went to hell.
I've grown them with LR#2 and Red Dwarf(these are turning out great)

I'll post some pics of them....

Collect seeds from it. Hermie's are useful in seed bombs. Think about it.

Well I would think twice before using that pollen for anything, you dont want to have anything to do with that hermi trait. I say bin it and start over and dont save the pollen!

I grew 5 at one time and i had no problems. I grew at 20 - 4 thou.... i love the smoke and just ordered 10 more females only

i did throw them out...what i meant was "if they were natural males and not hermies, the pollen will at least be usable"...anyway live and learn right?

Aahh that's a shame mate, I hate wasting valuable grow time/space. What are you going to replace them with?
