Last seasons crop was beautiful, we had
an excellent dry autumn, so i harvested some
nice buds.
But it is not that dry every year at the end of
bloom, but we hope best for this year as well...!!!

For now i have put 9 beanies into the race...
...but only 7 popped out...
These are all bagseeds, a Casey Jones went
hermie caus it wasn´t cut properly and pollinated
some plants in the room.
As a result these beanies were born:
Yes, i know about the genetical-dispositions that can result out of hermed-plant pollination, but i have some kind of good feeling that it will work quite fine without big problems... we will see, i will treat this seeds like some kind of experiment.
But there will be some other strains as well. i thought about some traditional old-school seeds from my area.
Perhaps i will choose some of them:
KC 33 - KC Brains
Durban Poison - Dutch Passion
And i think i will try some autoflowering seeds for the first time, hope they willl be okay, and not a waste of money.... we will see!
But i will report about that later on.

My Spots
....Spot 1,
...is "my baby". It is on a pitch
inside an old rambling briars; i cut a tunnel with a
knee in it that nobody is able to have a look straight
through it on my plants when passing by accidently.
It hast at least 12 hours direct sun exposure during the day.
I used this spot several years before, always brought
a little soil with me, so the soil is quite okay.
Four weeks ago i put some peat on the soil and dug it over.
Two weeks ago i carried 300 more liters of one-time-used
indoor soil with perlites to that spot as well. This soil will
be applied into the planting holes. naturally i dig and fill
the the planting holes with the soil before i plant the girls
into the ground to let it some time to "react & reorganize".
Spot 2
is quite huge, but i dont wanna use it in
it´s full capacity. the vegetation is too dense, too
useless ground so i only use one part of this area. it is
a sun terrace, more than 13 hours light.
But the soil and water conditions are not near to perfect
so i handle this spot as secound choice.
i will hike for some other nice spots tomorrow or something and take some pictures of course...
For now, some pictures of the already popped beans mentioned above...:

Today i will make up my mind in order to get adecission concerning further strain selection...
I am not sure yet what else to start for this summer...
I have several genetics for choice - what do U think of those:
KC33 (KC Brains) x Unknown outdoor-genetic
KC33 (KC Brains) x KC33 (KC Brains) [selfed]
Blueberry (DP) x Blueberry (DP)
Blueberry (DP) x Alaskan Ice (Greenhouse)
Unkn. od-genetic x Unkn. od-genetic
I am not sure if the blueberry and alaskan ice genetics are the "right thing" for outdoors.
But to make the decision more and more hard for me, i got several offers of friends for further strains as well...
So you can be patient for a bunch of more different, and very interesting crosses the next days...
edit: sorry for my bad english, i am not a native speaker.. in the beginning it will be a little bit hard for me to write here, this is my first thread in the english forum... so please be patient with me

Nice looking pictures, and clean presentation of your grow. Sometimes knowing english only makes people communicate less, because they think english explains everything.
Your plants are looking nice, and ready for some fertilizer and perhaps a more fertile medium. Will you leave them in that size pot, or transplant soon?

Yes i think i will transplant them soon into bigger pots.
But i think this new size will be the last step before i put them outdoors.
If they are lucky, i have enough time to do it today....
Concerning fertilizers i will try to abstain myself.
it is quite common to give ferts in this stage of growth, but i think after
transplantation in a normal pre-fertilized soil (until now i had them in
seedlings-soil with close to no nutes in it) they should get enough organic
nutes from the soil until i put them outside in the ground.
During this whole grow it will be my personal aim to keep the whole grow organic.
If i need i will only give a little jump-start feeding after transplanting them into the ground;
i am not sure yet, but this could be a little mineral fertilizer, we will see...
My experiences from the last years show,
that especially when growing outdoors, the
people always tend to overfertilize there plants
with (mainly) organic long-time fertilizers.
Especially the nitrogen takes a main role in this issue, cause most long-time ferts contain too much of it.
This effects that even in the end of bloom too much nitrogen is left in the soil and the be loved nice colas without all the green leaves in it won`t develop properly.
--> You get a leavy bastard with a rough smoke!
Most OD-Growers keep too much their eyes on the fertilizers althought it is so simple!
Just concentrate on good basic-soil, thats the key!
This soil should be bought in a shop (or used indoor-soil is
perfect as well). Try to get something with right ph, it
should be very loose, and add some perlites and little sand to it;
dig over a little guano-powder (guanoKalong or something compareable) into the lower parts of the holes (until flowering starts it will be dissolved and available); and that´s it!
If needed, dig over some guanopowder around the stems of the plants 2 weeks before flower starts.
Should be working fine!
As well try to dig big holes (it doesn`t matter
if you fill them half-way up again with the same soil,
and only top it with basic-soil) first, fill in the soil, let
it rest for 1-2 weeks and then put the plants into the
prepared planting hole.
Perhaps you will be laughting now
saying "how he is gonna achieve growing big plants without (any) ferts???"

I am using a quite simple method to "produce" nutrients straight next to my plants!
This is not a very special or new method; it is quite old-school, but my awareness is, that this method isn´t used anymore, cause it is too old-school.
Many people think they need something new, special and something that`s "science" (or advertisement / superstition;-) and costs a lot of money....
I just use the stinging nettle straightforward...
...one of the oldest farmer-tricks:
The Stinging-Nettle-Sewage
It is full of nitrogen and a bunch of different secondary nutrients and an epic microbiological activity!
Just collect some stinging nettles, cut them in smaler pieces and throw them into a jar with water. now let it sit more than a week, stir it a little bit every day.
After about two weeks it should be ready.
Now you can dilute this sewage with water, 1:20 first to get the plants used to it (especially when they are smaller); then you can increase the dosage until 1:5 for big plants.
Ah, and sometimes, in between spring and summer, i dig over some compost around the stems as well.
With this very easy and cheap method i harvested quite beautiful plants yet. It is working! You don´t need money for ferts all over the summer. if needed or desired you can ad some bought ferts in flowering, but normaly the guano is enough.
Look at the pictures i posted above some days ago, healthy plants, just with stinging nettle sewage!

Today i had some work on my Spot1.
I brought in little old, rotten horse manur, some guano and lime from two different sources.
As well i maximized the spot a little bit more.
I made some pic´s that you get an idea of the space
and location; as well you can see the pile of used
indoor-soil i carried there yet.
These soil got some guano and a little special -->pre-mix, as well...:

im onboard for this, i really like the idea of using nettle slurry....im using nettles for companion planting outdoors along with basil and dill, now gonna try the nettle 'tea'...
dont know if yer already there, but have you thought about using swales with that spot#1? a couple of berms/swales below your spots would greatly increase water retention
im running some kcbrains gear this summer(brains choice and a leda uno cross i made) whats the story with kc33? is that a sat.dom hybrid?

yes, try the nettles, i promise you will be
satisfied, definitely! -you will never use
something else anymore. --> a small hint,
try "comfrey" as well; you can just add a little to the
nettles, 1:10 works perfect!
Concerning your ideas with swales; i am quite
lucky to have very good drained soil ont his
spot. i am thinking more about a way to keep the
water in the soil...
...but i think i this issue i got fixed quite well;
you can read about it below...
Generally i can prefer KC Brains, but i don´t
have any experienced with the strains you
mentioned except the KC33.
but i dont remember her so well, it is quite a long
time ago i grew her, but i think she wasn´t
very sativa dominated. it was a nice uplifting
high with a fresh taste, when i remember right...
Some say that KC33 are herming, i had this
issue one season as well on some plants... but
i think it al over it is a good solid outdoor strain!
btw: have you been around on the cup this weekend as well
- i have something with your name in my head, but
don´t remember properly. Did we talk there???
