Haze, NL and Cinnamon 12/12 from seed...

Hi All

If you are interested in a 12/12 from seed grow have a look at my thread in Vendor's Female Seeds forum

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=24813

This is a grow that is in it's late stages. I'm growing Female Seeds' Neville's Haze, Northern Lights, and Cinnamon. I wanted to see how a Sativa would compare to an Indica using the 12/12 method.

Just wanna spread it to the masses here on ICMag and get your input.

Here is a pic of a NH bud for ya...

Thanks for stopping by all

Makes interesting stuff huh. Just shows what results can be achieved by growing your girls 12/12 from seed.... will work great to do a SOG...

Well there ya go..... I've seen people get amazing results with 12/12 from seed. I only got a small scale system going so do not expect great amounts.

Once I get my 400W that should change...

Hey Sat

Sorry I ain't answered you in a while, been away the last 5 days.

From what I've been led to believe, the spacing most use is 1 plant per sq ft. For you and me that's about 30cm's. I'm sure though you can really pack plants in though at around 4 per sq ft, but then remember that yield per plant would most probably be less. Maybe you'd get more cause there is more plants, but there would be more competition for root space and light, hence smaller buds. But having more plants gives more buds, so experimentation is the key. This is in a soil grow naturally.

Hydro would be a different story unless you did all plants in one container...

methinks

hey blunt
i remember that OGer Atmosphere1 said that it's important to use a large volume of soil, and he grew all his buds-on-a-stick in one big container. makes sense, why use just enough soil? rather let space and light be the limiting factors, not the volume of soil. i'd feel pretty stupid if my yield suffered because of something that simple, hell i've got the space for it, i think i'm going to try using too much soil for my next grow.

Yeah!! Do it.

I've found that the NL I'm just finishing is fatter than the Grapefruit I did before. If you remember that was also a 12/12 from seed grow, but only in a 2L pot. The NL is sharing 25L with the NH and Cin so has had more space to grow longer, bigger roots.

If you had a fat container, say...hmmmmmmm.. like the black ones you can find at Checkers or Pick n Pay which have over 100L, then I reckon you can pull off some good sized nugs.

Maybe try growing a GOG (Grass of Green) on 12/12 from seed, where you'd have seeds planted say every 10 cm sq or so. In a space of 50cm x 50cm you could have up to 25 plants growing at once, all with a single bud floating on top along with 24 others. LOL

I never tried this, and I honestly don't know if anyone has. Seems like a potential bitch to have to do though. Genetics would have to be spot on though and all female seeds a must. Clones would be a lot easier but that would not be 12/12 from seed, then again you could do it on 12/12 from clone transplant.

I'm gonna go now, my rambling is scaring me...

Thanks for the compliments.

I harvested the NL a day or so ago and finished trimming her this morning, have a look see

She has the biggest single bud I've managed to grow so far so at least I'm headed in the right direction...

hehe, you sure are headed in the right direction there blunt, that bud looks great. big pots are the way to go for sure!

great minds think alike hey blunt? what you've described is just what i'm planning to do, but i don't think i'll need fem seeds, because i'm building a micro cab with a mere 93w watts (HID equivalent), so thinning out the males/herms won't be such a problem.

besides more root space, i think the other important advantage of large pots is increased thermal mass, so the day/night soil temps don't fluctuate (which plants hate, apparently). i reckon other factors like moisture/pH/DO/nute levels are also more stable in a large volume of soil.
