Hey witchking, you've changed your avatar=)
I'm just finishing a haze outdoors, are you indoors or out? If out, how's the weather?

No worries Witchking....

I've grown a bunch!!To start with just go with 1/4 strenth nutrient solution..
(thats 1/4 of your normal nute strenth)

Also pruning at about the 5 to 8th node will help with height problems...
Watch for tip burn and be sure to back off when you reach this point...
I always flush the pure sativas more than the indicas...Thats flushing every 3rd or 4th watering to get rid of buildup..This should keep your babies green and happy....
Be sure not to try to get them to darken like an indica cause it just won't happen...
Let me know if you need anything specific...
Take care and grow safe................................................CC

allow ample room for stretch, they can easily more than tripple in size during flowering.
Also dont be afraid to bend tops or branches, for a more even canopy.

Yeah I like the king better.
Mine was a pure one, indoors I have no experience. Pruning helped a lot with the height. Before I harvested I had no fan leaves at all, I just stopped the ferts after a time and the rain washed the soil by itself.
Capt Crip has a great smoke report on the Original Haze x Skunk by Sam, you should check it out. Makes me want to grow some.
Cheers

Hey I was just wondering; If hazes don't like alot of nutes , is it still allright to put them in F.F.O.F. or is that too hot? Thanks. Witch :joint:

Watch out with the nitrogen! Start decreasing the amount of N from week 5 of flower gradually to zero. Otherwise they will foxtail all through the buds in the last weeks.

Cut the FFOF with some coir/perlite, should be fine.

If your still scared you could mix it with some unferted soil of some sort. :joint:

That Shantiva plant I have foxtails with no grow nutes...
Some plants are going to do that reguardless....But the Scientist is right in that it really does help to control that particular problem...

The foxfarm soil should be OK I would think...Just do not add to it for a while...

Cool , I was thinking if they don't eat much , there might be enough in the O.F. to keep them happy for a long time.
I just put 6 NHxMH beans in germ today. Looking forward to this one.

Hey guys, what is it that makes the foxtails form?
Then, why would you not want foxtails? Or am I not grasping the concept of foxtails totally?

In my opinion (I state this very carefully) the foxtails are a result of the traits inherited from the exotic parents. These plants will usually keep forming new flowers regardless of the time they've been in flower for already. In their natural habitat they get (±) 12/12 all year round, so the plants finish partly while other parts of the plant are still far from ready yet. Because of the nitrogen in the soil they're given the opportunity to grow a little next to the energy that's being put into flowering. When growing indoors we don't want a plant that keeps on building when it should be about to finish, and by taking away the elements needed for this extended flowering period we can force the plant to finish and concentrate on existing flowermass instead of forming new shoots. Again, this is my own hypothetical conclusion, not founded by any scientific facts on this issue.

I don't want foxtails because they mess up the bud-structure and add some more chlorophyll to the buds as well.
