Haze funk

Looking for a new Haze

Looking for as much funk as possible.

When I say funk I mean the Earthy, woody, Incense/Frankincense aroma given off when the buds are burning.

It can be slightly buttery funk (Nevilles Haze) or slightly pine funk (SSH) in my experience.

I'd love something with as much butter funk as the Nevilles but quicker and more compact.

Ive heard a mention here and there that Western Winds is worth a shot - One guy describing the smell and taste as pure Frankincense?!

Any ideas would be welcome thanks

Have you tried Tom's Haze or any Sam's Haze works? Like Haze hybrids from The Flying Dutchmen for example.

I've found some interesting Punto Rojo plants as well, after all, Haze started as a 3-way Colombian sativa hybrid.

I've found that special smell in some individuals of Haze x Deep Chunk F2 and some offsprings. But you got to search a little 'cos it's not homogenous.
Sweet Skunk crosses are incense too, but in a more fruity or lemony way. Same thing for Ace/CBG Panama: incense background.

I had a break though with this today. I emailed a few breeders asking which of their strains had incense aroma when burning etc. ACE seeds came back and pointed me to a few of their strains that all actually mention incense in the descriptions of the aromas. Here are the ones that look like potential frankincense trait bearers.



Purple Haze - "Wood, species, incense and black liquor. Ancient old school sativa aroma."

Panama Haze - "Lemony, spices and incensey"

Tikal - "The flowers smell sweet like strawberry chewing gum. With woody, hazy/incensey and sour notes when smoked."

Kali China - "Mango juice, sweet cream, incense, hash, grill meat and oriental spices."
