Well you need to be specific when asking about "haze" because most commercially available hazes are not actually pure haze they have been crossed to things such as skunks, NL's etc to bring down the flowering time. Pure haze and even some haze leaning hybrids can go 20 weeks flowering or more this is why they are so often crossed to faster flowering partners.
And in the case of SSSDH it is Sour Diesel male that was crossed to an Super Silver Haze female SSH = (Skunk/Haze x NL/Haze) or something to that effect so even in that case the haze represents a very small portion of the genetics and even though excellent herb it is quite far from the pure haze.
I personally love haze myself I like it best because a good haze has ass kicking potency and can be smoked many times a day before any tolerance or ceiling is met. A good haze to me will be a more energetic type of high, clear, no anxiety, and brain stimulating some can have slight body effect but most retain the cerebral effect.
Now hazes can represent a wide range of smells and tastes depending on which variety you are talking about but most commonly then can represent floral/dryer sheet, woody, incense, cat pissy, piney type odors, there can even be some very uninteresting/undesireable bland and boring pee like odors and tastes that pop up in crappy pheno's of some haze hybrids. The smells are usually on the more mild side, not sharp and powerful odors like OGs or Sour Diesels.
But like I said it really depends on which haze variety you are talking about. I have grown many and they can be extremely phenotypically diverse and have a wide range of flowering times and characteristics. So for the best answer it would be best to ask specifically to the haze you wonder about. Because of the extreme variation a really good haze can be hard to come by but when you find a good one it is the champagne of weed.
Most people attribute raciness to hazes, they don't seem to effect me in that way. Energetic yes, but not uncomfortable or anxiety inducing. But like I said most of them have been bred to skunks, NL's and afghans which really takes the edge off. Pure haze might be racy, something like Oldtimers but I've never grown that one.
People that they say they get raciness and anxiety from hazes might be pulling them too early not many have the patience to see a heavy haze out to the end.
A lot of growers consider 11 weeks to be extreme flowering time, good hazes can go 14-20 and beyond depending on the strain and produce wispy buds. I have had more then a few hit the 20 week mark, I don't mind because I grow them for myself as my stash of choice, I could smoke haze all day .
I get the heart pumping, raciness-but without the anxiety or paranoia. Still kinda have a clear head. I haven't looked at trichs in a long time, but she looks and smells done by 9.5-10weeks. I took my first SSSDH at 11weeks, one day. But I did think I let it go too long. I took my last SSSDH at around 74-75 days. I will let one of my next ones go 11 or so weeks to see next time
I am also running Sour Hazy Jones from CSG, that one did take a bit longer to turn. Just changing colors now-ish, around 10.5 weeks. First time running her so we will see next time.
What Hazes are you running?
