Having a little flowering problem...

Well, I took some clones about a month ago.
All rooted well.
I placed into a soil mix of 50% perlite / 50% regular soil, no nutes or anything added.
I'm flowering under about 240 watts floro.

They've been in flowering for 2 weeks, no visible signs of growth really... Just a few white hairs here and there. They haven't got any taller or had any kind of new growth.
:fsu:
My last plants I had flowered, already had stretched and small bud sits had started to form... so I'm starting to worry.

Straight away, first day in the soil, I gave them a solution of 1 drop / gal of 10-10-10.
They started to yellow which looked like nutrient def. so I gave them a solution of 3 drops / gal of 4-1-2 and 3 drops / gal of SuperThrive.

Some are still yellow.... one of the 4 plants has a leaf curling upwards.

Any ideas? :chin:

When they started to yellow it was probably from a nitrogen difficiency. The reason one of the four has curling is probably cuz that one got a little to much/not enough nutrients, or the temp's are to high. If you want them to flower they need lots of phosphorous.

Ah, sorry for the late response.

1stCropLongGone thanks for the input.

Young Giver - Thanks for the advice. The temps are pretty low, around 70 lights on and 65 lights off.

BudsbyKano - After rooting (I could see a good 10+ roots sticking out of the peat pellets) they were vegged for about a week maybe.

On friday I'll water with some 10-10-10 (1/4 teaspoon per gallon), flowering ferts 5-12-14 (1/4 teaspoon per gallon) and a little superthrive.
Does that sound like it may cure them?

honestly you didnt giv them enough veg time. ur root development was very low when u decided to flower, that causes stunted growth and small yields, you did good at feeding them at a low strenth. the first week you wana feed them with a high P SOLUTION TO HELP IN ROOT DEVELOPMENT but at a strenth no higher then 800ppm. during the second to third week of flowering i always use a nitrogen solution to ensure no nitrogen defiencies, then i feed a high P.K. FORMULA UPTILL the last week of harvest then just PH correct water. some of the best organic nutes ive used are fox farm always leaves me with great tasten smoke. every grower has his own way and tastes. 1 thing ill tell you if u dont hav a PH and PPM/tds meter buy one it will be a wise investment full of sucessful harvests. I hope that helps if you hav any questions just ask ill try to help. oh almost forgot you said they were turnin yellow how often are you watering? if they are over waterd you can see sighns like that but its a nutrient lock out and make sure to check your PH the biggest cause of lock out is PH . :joint:

Go to the hydro store and buy some Fox Farm Ocean Forest Potting Soil or Pro Mix Bx or HP and some perlite and some powdered Dolomite Lime and Fox Farms Grow Big,Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom, some pH up and Down and a pH test kit.

Mix 1.5-2 Tbs. Dolomite Lime per gallon of soil to buffer pH and add 15%-30% perlite for better drainage and aeration.

Plant seedlings into this mix.Do not add any fertilizer until the cotlydons (first round leaves) turn yellow.Once cotelydons have yellowed water with half strength Grow Big every other watering unless more is needed for the first 3 weeks in conjunction with Big Bloom.

Follow the FF OF Feeding Schedule for a sure fire successful MJ grow.

Thanks for the tips...
I usually water about once every week and a half.

No hydrostore here... small town = \
I've never seen any Fox Farm or any of that in stores here, but I've seen the dolomite lime.

I'll go to homedepot and find a pH test kit.

/edit
I can't go back to veg now right?

I took 2 more clones... Hopefully I'll have enough room to flower them along with the others. I'll let these ones veg for a while longer.

:badday: that sucks no hydro store. its better off just leaven what you hav in flowering and vegin the other clones for two or three weeks then putin them in flower in no less then a two gallon container. walmart type soil will work i dont suggest you get a soil with slow release nutes in it as it can throw off ur nutrient balance .hope that helps happy grows :joint:

Natural, If you are growing from seed, you should try to wait until the nodes start to stagger before putting them in flower. Thats when you know that they are mature enough to put in flower. If grown from clone, you can put them in flower almost immediately. Clones are as old as the mother plant that you took them from. If you took clones from a plant that was in veg for 1 month, then the clones are automatically 1 month old. Just give the clones time to aclimate to their new home (soil).

Putting them back in veg. will stress the plants. You can do it, but it is not advisable.

Also, try to use Superthrive only when you first plant your seeds (after germinatinon) and each time you do a transplant. It is not a fertilizer, it is basically vitamins to help roots stay healthy. Transplanting is rough on the roots, Superthrive has B-1 vitamins that help them get through it.

I hope this helps you,
Good Luck

Why can't you go back to veg? As your plants have basically done nothing, I suggest that you put them under 24 hours of light and feed them with a little fish emulsion fertilizer.

I have good results vegging for 3 weeks under flouros after planting rooted cuttings. Once the plants are greening up and have started actively growing then you can think about switching to 12/12.

Good Luck
