Exactly that, has your cannabis undergone a genetics test from one of the major companies?
Would you now, continue using any of these companies' services, or will in the future?? ie. Medicinal Genomics, Phylos, or other?
(.....)
The recent Phylos.... Stuff... LoL... Has of course opened many doors to many things, and there is a lot of, lets say, fallout from the incident.
Medicinal Genomics is poised to become the new big comer to the game, with a better test, but their Kannapedia needs some work as it's hard to actually view varieties and thus relationships.

I had always wanted to get my clones tested. I know what they are, but I wanted to see where they lay in relation to the larger genomic map and I know I can use that data for breeding, even right now, IF such a relationship map were good and useful because it was good data.... But I knew something like this could happen, and I am giving them my data that they can then use later, and it is not real protection... I kind of want to almost say, in a way, not as a dick, but like, what did you expect them(phylos) to do? Even medicinal genomics has (apparently, on the surface), tried to talk a big game about being open and transparent and against big ag (don't they all), saying "don't trust us, trust no one"... And that's right, because I am sure there will come a time when the money is what talks, and that IS the way it will go eventually.
In fact, most people don't realize having your cannabis genetically tested (and putting that data into a public space) is probably one the worst things you could do. Its more so, for altruistic science, than for yourself, IF that data is worth something..
But the Phylos galaxy is highly questionable, and always was. Medicinal Genomics has dropped gauntlets on their test(s).
But I am digressing and anecdoting... At this rate, I know where my stuff came from and what it is, and no test is needed.
Lets try not get too cray cray in this thread k!
... Pft and I'm already going crazy yay!
(hm... heres another thought... Should we be mad WE, and of course the bigger guys in the game, ARE corporate cannabis? They they are all talking to big ag, that they are becoming it? ... Really... Its LEGAL now... Its OVER.. Prohibition is largely OVER guys! Really, it is. The dominoes are falling, its only places that are holdouts left... ......... SO... its going to go the way of big business, right?? How could it not? I was saying this earlier, CBD in everything, and not a week ago, I am reading that Oreo and other brands yes do want to put, not only CBD, but THC into their products, and release them under other names....
How many years do the small guys have left? 10. 10 or less. Maybe even none. And believe me it makes me sad, the whole culture is really, not only changed, but gone.)
How bout this.. the real thing phylos is talking about, using cannabis to create OTHER compounds... you have a plant that produces 30% of something by dry weight, thats unheard of, all on just selective breeding... We can't imagine what could be the case, and when phylos says the weed of today, frankly, sucks in comparison to the weed of the future, he's kinda not lying.... And it'll be legal WORLDwide. It will be marlboro but under a different trade name sure.
And a lot of this pertains too, to hemp and CBD markets, which are, probably much larger than the drug (thc) cannabis markets realistically, and will reach larger groups of people through therapeutic products and other consumables or commercial goods (hemp fibers/plastics replacing other products).
K thats rambly enough
