Setup a 400 wat A/C C13 2 bagseed Chrystal females, something like 7 weeks veg.I can not keep both unless I do some serious pruning and training but I am wondering if it will diminish yeilds.I could keep just one and try a SCROG but it would be my first SCROG also I would like to give the plant to my good friend rather than chop it up and discard of it,but he doesn't want one right now as he just moved to a new place and times are rough for him.

I'll do a search on Clones in stasis and ho long they can safely be kept that way but in the meantime what do you guys think I should do?

how are you planning on continuing the grow after these 2 plants are gone? do you have another area to veg/flower? if so scrog the one and keep the other as a mother. if not prune you a bunch of cuttings from both and just flower both of them out. sorry i don't know how long you can keep them in stasis.

That's some pretty good advice there Dan Kay.I have been thinking of saving the money and either buying a Mills Pride C3 base cabinet (measures 34" tall x 24" wide x 24" deep) or building something to the exact of the mills pride.

Lighting would more than likely be 2-3 dual 20 watt tube 2' t12 fixtures and bulbs for a total of 80-120w.I like the idea of the C3 becuase it is a base cabinet and since it'll be lit by fluoros I can use a small axial fan for exhuast with small passive intakes, and it is wide and deep and tallenough so I can fit one mother int there and some clones from both plants.SCROG one while the cloones are rooting.Seeing as I would have rooted clones from both plants I could kill the mom if I cant find a close friend to adopt her,veg the clones while the SCROG one finishes up,choose one to be a mom (bonsai so maybe two moms).

If I choose to setup a veg/mom/clone chamber I'll have to cut down from a 400w HPS to a 250/270w HPS but that I look at as an upgrade really as in the summer it gets too damn hot and centralair costs an assload to run all day at 65F.I could save the 400w HPS though for the winter months and gather my headies then (headie nugs that you save for rainy days ie;bad day,good/great day, special occasion) and then in summer switch to the 250/270 too have some bud to smoke with my buds.

Anyhow,I don't have the money too set up a small veg/mother/clone area and run the 400w HPS and exhuast fan and all the other crap in my place so I guess for now I'll just prune aggresively but not over prune, take some clones from both as I have a small area dedictaed temporarily for some clones but it is not stealthy in anyway. This way If the one I would discard happens to be a good pheno I wouldn't be losing it.

So thats what I am going to do,prune both plants and take some clones and immedeately flower the pruned plants.

Next grow may be a SCROG under a 250 or a SOG under 250 or 400w...we'll see.

Thanks for putting my brain into motion Dan Kay!

glad i could help. watch out for mills pride sizing they're usually outside dimensions. might just want to build something exact to your needs. stain it and make the outside look nicer and less conspicuous.

sounds like a good plan.

or you could run your light cycle to be off during the hottest part of the day. in veg do 18/6 with it off noon - 6 pm.

lets see an update of what you've done.

storing clones according to jorge cervantes - "horticulture bible"

"To store cuttings for later use, wrap recently cut and trimmed stems in a damp cloth or paper towel. Put the wrapped clones into a plastic bag, and store in the refrigerator. Keep temps. above 40 deg.F. Temps. below this level may cause plant cells to rupture. Cuttings should last in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks.

Clonex Root Matrix, a Growth Technology product, is a gel that allows cut clones to root and be held until they are needed."

I'm pretty sure it also says somewhere else in the book that you should open the plastic bag once a day to remove condensation.

Whats up man... Just read the first post...My suggestion would be to grow just one of the plants in a big container( 3 gallon or up), do a sog/prune/scrog/suppercrop and take a couple of clones for later. You should have plenty of sprouts to choose some good clones so you wont affect your current yeild, and you'll also give your friend who wants a sample plenty of time to get on his feet, then slide him a clone. take it easy bro...

I don't get it.... Why is it exactly that you can't keep 2 plants flowering? Looks like you have plenty of floorspace for 2 plants and you have a 400...
Bend the shit out of em.... Throw a screen over em... Do what you think is right.. Keep all growth tips even any way you can and flower in a week.
2 plants at this point would probably be better than one.
Hell top the main top wait 5 days and flower.... They'll get nice and fat don't worry... :)
If you let them go straight you'll prolly run into height probs...
Those chicks r pretty big... :D
