Have a outdoor sativa plant not sexed yet do male plants make less roots

My lone plant was started late July. First planted in potting soil then fresh worm castings and egg shells and perlite water in neptuns sea weed watered in .. Though roots growing slow plant does grow steady. Just do not need a male

all plants make roots whether its a male a female doesn't matter.
