Great way to deal with stress.

Additionally interesting :peacock: when combined with Cannabis.

Looks interesting, but I would probably break something trying to get into at least 50% of those positions.

I am taking Krav Maga classes though, and it's been really good for stress relief plus it's just a hell of a workout.

Very appropriate that you guys are mentioning the martial arts.

That is exactly how I got started in stretching originally, then stretching as yoga in the 1990's.

I remember the black belts kneeling on the edge of the mat, doing wrist-stretches. It was like, "what the heck are they doing ?" I joined them, and found that it was addictive.

One of the Japanese term for 'falling skills' (stretching and rolls) is "Ukemi".

ha ha not a chance .. the only way I could do a lot of them positions is with painkillers and help....I will stick with kayaking and hiking for my excersize... the chart would look a lot better if a woman was doing it ...just sayin

I've been doing Ashtanga for about 10 years now - it's the only reason that I can still move. Backbends and neckstands don't work for me with my cervical and lumbar damage, but the rest of it is amazingly effective.

Like you guys I started with judo and kung fu in my youth, and when I started doing yoga I was amazed to find that many of the stretches are the same as yoga postures.

The Bryan Kest "Power Yoga" DVD is one hell of an ashtanga workout. There are also some nice leotards filled with very fit young ladies in it.
