Hash/Weed in Alanya, Turkey??

Hey guys/gals.
Im goin on a 14 day trip to Alanya, Turkey this august, and i was wonderin if anybody knows how hard it is to obtain either hash or weed there. Being a tourist area my guess that there might be some chances but id like to hear if anyone here has personal experience about that specific area.

no personal experience but in foreign cities i normally look for touters outside clubs and bars an they usually can hook u up ,,be very carefull in turkey though ,midnight express and all that

Thanks for the reply Hazy. Yea i know that Turkey isnt relly that liberal and i was just waiting for that Midnight Express reference lol. But yea, that might not be a bad place to look. Its hard to dig up some real info about cannabis in Turkey, which surprises me since it is the gateway to the EU from some hash producin countries like Lebanon, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Most reports indicate low quality hash if any at all for tourists.

ever see midnight express?

the cops like to through tourists in jail. However you can find pot or hash in the streets some stores, taxi drivers, bars, ect. Cops will take bribes, i've heard $20(Usd) worth of local currency can go a long way. It shouldn't be to hard to find but Turkey is a Islamic country with very bad prisons. stay safe.
