Hash preferences - an informal poll.

How do people prefer their hashish as smokers? Do you like pressed or unpressed? Do you prefer a light hashish or a thoroughly worked dark hash? It seems the breaking and intermingling of resin heads in dark hash makes it more than the sum of its parts.

On the producrion side dry sift seems the best process for quality hashish. I am wondering however the smoking difference between hashish made from a single plant and hashish made from a broader spectrum of siblings.

IMO pressed Hashish>loose hash.
I love hash that has been worked very thoroughly.

I mimic the teachings of one Mr. Frenchy Canolli.
The guy is a true "legend"of Hashish, yet extremely humble.

When the hash is pressed thoroughly the individual resin glands are ruptured to form a single mass of resin, which alters the aroma,color and flavor into a magical substance of spirituality.

After pressing my first batch of hash into Hashish, I gained a perspective of why Hashish has been around for thousands of years, and often related to certain religions.

I an only hope to one day become a true "Hashishin"

I personally press a majority of my hash, and leave some unpressed as topper.

I like to keep it unpressed.

Dark hash that glistens in the light but can still be seen through when thinned out seems nice.

1st run 70 bag using a B-Quick washing machine.

2nd run

I like to roll a small ball or make a small patty and smoke a hash snapper. (basically pressing it before I smoke it)

Full melt plus ashes.

Biggest secret to making good hash is starting with good product in my opinion

I make bubble, I keep the melty shit, press and seal it. Take a worm of that, and run it up the side of a haze joint rolled with a fine hemp paper and it's like a fine wine one of the best smokes on earth.

I favor pressed as a consumer and producer, preferably in thicker bricks to minimize surface area so it stores much longer. Let it develop a thick rind like a cheese. The outside loses potency quickly but the inside stays fresh for years.

Im going to be doing a run soon of mostly bubba and schrom trim, I predict the combo is going to make some killer hash. It's been far too long since I've had hash.

Micro planed and stored in the fridge. a light dry consistency. I like a freshly pressed out dab, rather than one that has been pressed prior to curing.

Love the bubble hash.. just ice & water.. Its nice to keep some hash just one single strain when making.. but it is a blast to make special crosses with hash when running a few strains... Loved mixing the Deathstar (Cut) trim with Grendel (Motarebel) trim.. the hash was blonde and tasted like you were smoking a diesel dipped blueberry.. Plus you can mix your sativas with your indicas.. and yea.. hash is nice to keep around too.. let it age and break it out on special occasions Peace~ DJSF

When you press hash and cure it in a glass jar,burping daily for two weeks,virtually eliminates the chance of mold development.

Cure and store for 6 months, and try the Hashish...

WOW!

The aroma and flavor morph into a spicy chocolate with heavy floral notes at the front.

There are some bubble runs that are almost too visually appealing to press. So I'll do the "press to order" routine.

I wish I could keep the hash I like to smoke around for 6mo. Its like trying to keep Winnie the pooh out of the honey jar lol

Sirdabsalot46n2- I would be hovering around that like a moth... 6mo. lol more like 6hrs... Every 15min. I'd be saying "That tasted so good, maybe another little taster" LOL "Hmmm that was good, I'll do another... Hmm I dont feel HIGH... I could do another... Why do I take so many naps? Why am I waking up with bent glasses, all the lights on, and the TV is on?"... "I better get some coffee ready and take another hash hit!"

rofl that sounds like some one i know, lol.... some how i prefer smoking joints of bud most of the time, so i end up stashing some bubble over longer periods of time too and i can totally confirm that it makes it better even very clean stuff becomes smoother with a good cure. i started writing the month and year on my bubble hash so i can keep track of the age.

i like to smoke bubble in 1 hit portions placed on a bed of ash on a bong or steamroller. this way every hit is fresh and tasty and the bed of ash helps the hit to stay lit without having to do more then gently light it, you don't have to keep the flame on the hit for the whole time you inhale. the only disadvantage to the bed of ash is that you don't see the bubble action as well as on a screen. on the other hand no fmcd will drip through the ash and get wasted like it will on a screen.

my second preference for really nice and clean fmcd is to dab it, very tasty way to vaporize it.

and third comes my atmos electric pen style ecig that seems to be made for fmcd, just requires filling up again fast. this is the gentlest way on your lungs.
