Has anyone grown Acapulco Gold from barneys?

I just went thru a pack of Acapulco Gold.
All of them died except 1.
I managed To run the last seed. It seemed to get better health wise around wk4.
The mom died so I don't know if its worth the headache or heart break on wether I should splurge on another pack.
The only strain i had problems with was the Yeti og from Loompa. Great strain.

So If has anyone has had any experience growing A.Gold successfully I would gladly appreciate any tips. Or if you had problems as well. As the 1 plant I smoked makes a second run possibly worth it.

In a world full of dodgy seed companies, Barneys manage to stand out as being even worse than most, their owners also have an awful reputation in Amsterdam.

There is zero chance that these plants have been properly bred, avoid at all costs.

Cannabiogen and ACE are specialists in breeding Sativas like these, Cannabiogen sell a Punto Rojo, both sell a Panama that is also excellent, now on about F6, highly selected, read the grow repots, then try to find anything whatsoever close from a grower running barneys rubbish.

Cannot forget Bodhi I see people here on the mag run his Acapulco with great results! Go to the Mexican landrace thread to see for yourselves if Barney's sucks stick with Bodhi I hear nothing bad of him only good ;)

Six or seven years ago I had a pack of feminized Acapulco Gold from Barney's. I grew six seeds/plants. Every seed germinated. I had two "hay-plants" and four very good plants. All seeds I ever grew from Barney's were instable. Barney's doesn't sell strains. This are instable crosses, but no strains.

Dang. I was asking about triple cheese,8ball kush and vanilla kush earlier but havent seen many reports for any. I recently adopted all 3 of these from a palsmombox so he could make headroom. Now im not sure what im gonna do with em. Lol.

It tasted spicy almost bready. The effect was pretty good just rather bland. Yield was ok but lowest of the other strains around it.

It wasn't horrible or anything, just not cool enough to keep.

I did Barney's Farm LSD a number of years ago; nearly every plant was different, though some of the plants shared -some- structural similarities. At any rate, it competed as having some of the widest variance I've seen from a breeder pack. All of them had acceptable potency and medium to medium high productivity, but as of today, in the name of limiting the harem, we're holding a wake for the -last- of the BF LSD (though I may have another seed or so laying about). I'll drink a beer and smoke something respectable over her carcass.

That said, I saw Bodhi Seeds had an Acapulco Gold/land-race offering not long ago. Don't know the current status on it, or any write-ups re. those who may have taken the dive into 'research'. (*I think it may have even been offered as a freebie pack, but maybe I got that backward, and the AG was the route to a fee pack. Can't recall for sure).

I dunno, i really like their amnesia lemon and blue cheese. I had some cbd critical cure seeds i had been sitting on for years, just harvested em. I was impressed with them. Havent grown the amnesia or blue cheese in years, but i thought they were good at the time.
Their vanilla kush sucked. I grew one acaupolco gold, eh, a leafy ugly plant. Frankly, it is a hybrid, if you are looking for the real deal, this couldnt be any further. It has the name, but that is all it has in common.

hybrid with reeferman's highland nepalese

Also known as ...apple pie (reeferman)

Calling it 'acapulco gold' is like pissing in the gene pool

OK.. I admit it.. I haven't killed her yet. Like a stray puppy that you know you shouldn't keep, but you give it a bowl of milk and chow anyway. Every time I look at her, intending to end her, she wags her proverbial tail, puts those floppy ears back, widens her eyes, and I say, "OK, one more watering.. Maybe tomorrow I'll clear you out."

Haven't followed through yet with her D-day, though I know it's coming.
