has anyone ever heard of Blue Haven (heaven?)

I got some clones of this a few years ago from a friend who made a mother from a seed he got of it in a sack from one of the med clubs in SF. This plant grows so much different than any strain I have ever grown. During the veg cycle, all the stems are 100% purple from day one (but doesn't show too much purple in the flowers) and all the fans leaves are such a dark green that they look blue (I think this is where it gets its name). This plant has the most amazing stem structure, it is almost completely hollow and I hear this an excellant trait bc it provides for great nutrient uptake and it is so rigid. It produces the heaviest densest nugs I have ever seen an outdoor plant produce (so dense its almost bad outdoors bc it is pron to mold bc it doesnt 'air out' well after rain or morning dew). Even with hollow stem its stems are so strong even without being supercropped to strenthen its stem structure. It was the only plant I didn't have to stake up and was my heaviest yeilder. I was disappointed with how my other strains came out compared to the Blue Haven that I will only grow BH next year.

I just want to know if any other people out there have experience with this plant too, or know it genes. I think it might have been crossed with DJ's Blueberry, bc I have seen some pics of BB and BH looks just like it has very similar growing traits. It flowers in littles "pods" and has very little fan leaves like BB

Blue heaven is indeed a member of DJ's Blue Line. It was released by DJ quite some time agao, and I havent seen any around in years. Great anti anxiety strain. Try looking for the OG strainguide, I think its in there. Take care

WOW thanks for the replies everyone. I was not expecting anyone to know much about it. After growing this strain a few times, I can say that it truely is a special strain. It is just a fun plant to grow, harvest, smoke, look at, smell, etc. everything about just gives you sensory over load. I show it to people and they are amazed that I grew it, but it is just a stable, healthy strain that could grow its self. I think it would be harder to mess it up than to get amazing results. if you cant get some good flowers from this strain then you just need to turn in you grow equipment. DJ Short made it this straim fool-proof.

No Joke I put a 4" clone in my garden last (surrounded my monsters that were competing for sun and nuts) year in the biginning of July and I shit you not this thing grew almost five feet by the end of harvest. It vegged to about two and half feet and then stretched another two feet during flowering. I didnt clone it and I thought I lost it forever after harvest and I found ONE seed in the very last gram I gave to a friend. She started to roll a joint and found it, I was gitty like a little girl and everyone in the room couldn't understand we I was excited for a seed. It was a female too.

I guess it only makes sense that it came from DJ Short, he is really an amazing Breeder, I love his book, its not the most comprehensive, but just covers his little special secrets and tips. His writing style is really easy to follow and understand. I have close to 40 books on growing, horticulture, hash making etc and DJ's book is favorite I dont know why its just a fun read(and all tied for 2nd by a nose hair is anything by Robert Cornell Clarke, Jorge, Ed and Mel Frank)

The effect of this strain is amazing too, it is one of the most amzing strains to vap, you get the full flavor and it gets twice as many vaps as any other strains. I made sure to take cuttings of the plant this year and I am revegging the one I grew outdoors by building a mini greenhose over it with a light. Once I get a viable, healthy mother I am more than happy to share clones. I am going to take a tray with as many cuttings as possible and take them to Harborside health center for free and I am going to make sure they only give them out for free. I will post on here when I do it, I want to do is as often as I can too. Anyone who hords their genes should have their cards revoked, I think they more we share the really good strains we can force all the bullshit strains out of the market or force other clone producers to get their shit together. peace eveyone and thanks for the replies have a happy thanksgiving.

It actually has a very high yield. Not many flower nodes, but bc it is so dense (I mean you have to use sciccors to break it up, and joints without a grinder just wont happen) that it produces a very high yield.

I love this plant, thats why I want to give to other people to see what they can do with it too. I think for guys that are really good at indoor hydro, this plant would be just deadly. This strain would be scary to see in a SOG done by a professional. I am great outdoors, but I still kinda suck indoors, I just have a great outdoor spot and I dont spend much time fine-tuning my indoor skills. (besides cloning, I love making clone machines/rooms, I just clone/veg inside and grow them into eight foot monsters outside) Growing monster outdoor plants is great bc its just a big F@ck you to plant limits. (bigger plants=less plants needed=lower plant numbers)

"blue heaven" was a dj short strain that was discontinued along with "blue velvet"
supposedly 75-80 percent sativa and very branchy
and like guerilla1018 said was a great anti-anxiety strain according to it's description.

at one point i was going to order these beans , but then they were gone and
havnt returned

Great info everyone, yes you are a very lucky individual to have that cut. I am in a similar boat as mtnjohn, I was going to buy a pack some years ago and by the time I got the cash together they were gone, never to be seen again. Shes kinda the one that got away lol. Awesome info guys, amazing how much info people got tucked away when you ask the right questions. I have fallen in love with this strain. I have eliminated all other strains in (except some GDP and purps) my program to focus on maintaining this guy....I mean lady. I am praying that I find a seed or two in my outdoor crop so I can make a healthy mother and hopefully the one I got outside can re-veg under the light I put out. thanks for the info/helps guys. I will keep you posted on her status and availabilty. I really want to make some cutting available at the clubs for eveyone now that you guys have varified what a valueble strain this is.
