Has anybody used these grow tents???

So my buddy found these 4'X4'X6'.5" grow tents on gyosupplies.com for $100 shipped and I was wonderin if this would be a good buy? it looks decent enough, i wish i had the funds for a grolab but if this is worth it ill get this bitch.

Just a bit of advise : I had a bad experiance with paypal. They keep a very good paper trail on all transactions. I assure you they will turn everything over to LEO in a heartbeat. I use them all the time for normal transactions but never will i ever use them again for anything grow related. PAYPAL=LEO's friend. You can choose to ignore or discount what i just said , i am only telling you how they roll.

LEO's? and how would i know if its toxic? my buddy got one but he recently broke his phone or else id ask him how its working out for him, i ordered it and got it in 2 days everything seems to be in place so we'll see how it goes up here in a few mins ill take some pix to show yall what a $100 grow tent looks like which im pretty curious myself.

So i got the bitch up was really simple kinda skimpy destructions, only shows how to assemble the frame(the easiest part), but none the less its up i just threw a few cfl'c for now til i get all my ducting mapped out then the 400w goes in for a test run for a couple weeks then if it proves to stay cool enough ill throw the 1000w hps in and start bloomin me some friggin smoke already.

so heres some pix of it empty all the ducts theres one 4" on the top,back and bottom left, theres also 3 netted vents bout 8"-10" off the ground on 3 walls, its pretty sturdy but im wonderin how its gonna hold up to the cooltube,16lb carbon filter and fan the so called netted top was some kinda flimsy 1/4" bars that hooks across the top bars of the frame, also there isnt a hole just for wires you either gotta cut the lil netted vent or run it out the lower intake vent.

didnt realize how much room this fucker took up had to scratch my noggin for a min on where to put it.

This is with the 5 cfl lights hooked up, im kinda disappointed its not totally light proof

good luck but you did buy the one with the white pvc lineing. if you start to see what appears to be a mg def. in 2 weeks youll know that tent is junk. you may not notice anything if your using cfls but throw a hps in there and your bound to see some toxicity. i made the same mistake a while ago from an ebay tent. good luck!

yeah, i got one of these in may - no offgassing problems as of yet
got a 400 in it, gets warm, but all i am using is a 8" fan sitting on the floor pointing at the light over the canopy
more like a veg room for me til i take em outdoors

yeah i was told like 4 months ago when i first was lookin into gettin a tent and a few hydro shop guys said that the offgassing wasent a problem anymore but ill keep my eye out

I got the same cheapy tent, only the smaller 4x2x5. It's perfect for keeping my mothers, and cloning-vegging a couple plants.. I've used mine for almost a year straight with plants in there, so it's safe to say there is no problem with these as far as offgassing goes.

I purchased 2 sets of 6in vent collars to go with mine. One so I could hook up the 6in ducting for the fan-scrubber-reflector I already had, and another set as intakes down low, so I could keep those three screened vents closed up. A couple pieces of velcro along the flaps helped with the zippers light leaking quite a bit as well
