Has anybody tried Magic Merlin?

I got some seed of these sprouted about a month ago, June 26. The seeds are Grandaddy purps x Double Purple Doja. Lets hope they turn out purple. Very vigorous and fairly uniform. Coloring on the tips from night temps in the 50 F. Grown mostly outdoors in the Colorado sun. Mix of coir/perlite, at 80/20. Also mixed in some Plantone 5-3-3 organic fert, with Rainbow Bloom w/myco 1-10-2. They are suplimented with Floranova from time to time. nice lghiter green colored leaves, a very stocky group. The ones on the left are male, middle are unknowns, and left are female. . Anyone tried this one?

Btw... we got a strain out there called 'Merlin' ... lineage = Bubble Axe x NYCD.

Only x50 seeds were released so there shouldn't be too much confusion.

saved 2
I've jut put about 6 in flower a week ago (still got 1 slower plant in veg, and killed one runt)

3 have shown male, 2 were killed because their armpit branches were weak and their leaves were a lighter green. I'm thinking the darker leaves are more likely to go purple right?

The male I am keeping has darker green leaves more indica, stronger branches and looks healthier. This is MM4. and in the middle pic.

Out of the other 3 unsexed, 1 is looking like it will go male, I'm praying for at least 2 females.

I read on another forum about a guy who got through 10 and didnt get any purple.
I got them as my gf has a big birthday coming up and she wanted Purple bud for her present. I plan to make some f2s. If none of these go purple then lets hope the variation in the f2s will release some purple.

Still for all I know I could still end up with 3 girls and they may still turn purple - I'll keep you guys updated

Hey thanks for stoping by. Big beans that is my fear, no purpling, but with the night twmps and even in the seedling stage I saw coloration of the growing shoots. Especially on one of the males. I think in the F2s we will really see what this bitch can do. Noticed your doing some OE, I am doing a grow journal of Humboldt Express, on another site. Those look really good too. I will keep updating this weekly with pictures and posting on anything of significance that may happen. BTW those look great. How old are they and what are you feeding them. Peace

They are about 6 weeks roughly I think, I'm excited abut this male as he is physically a much stronger nicer plant than some of the others.
I havent been feeding these anything other than water as I dont want nitrogen in them as this can make cloning difficult.

The 2 that have shewn sex are in flower now. First night with lights off. Only two so far. Found the two males I will use for F2s. The 2 in flower will be transplanted to 5 gal bags to max the yield, as they filled the 2/3 gal bgs in a week coming from .5 gal bags. Stoked. Keep ya posted. Peace

I am currently running the gdpxdpd about 30 days into veg right now .will post pics .nice to see someone else running them at the same time.yours look very nice big beans.very similar to mine as well .what nutes are you using,or are you organic?PEACE

All organic, didn;t feed these much as I wanted to cone them and didnt want extra nitrogen in them making rooting a problem

I now have another male to use for breeding, similar to the one above I kept, not had a girl yet
