Harvesting with slight Spider Mite Problem

Harvested plants with spider mites, is it ok to smoke em?

I had spider mites in early flower, i sprayed neem and they appeared to have gone away, then i sprayed some more for the eggs, but i guess i didnt get them all. In the very end of flowering i noticed some white dots and upon closer look, the mites were back. I harvested the plants like 2 days ago and gave them a thorough trim, what should i do with the bud? will it still be good to smoke? Will the mites go away as the bud dries? Im going to check the buds today sometime, if i start seeing webbage then ill toss the bud, but id like to be able to keep it.

Any advice is appreciated

you could water cure them, should help...
Seems like a good idea that. Also, maybe you could put a vacuum cleaner to the nugs and suck some off. Perhaps vacuum sealing would be another good option as it would surely off them all.

The mites will climb to the tip that is pointing up. So if you have the buds hanging on a string/wire, by the time the buds are dry the mites will be up on the stem.

When the buds are dry, just cut the stem (with the mites) and jar it!

I was recently confronted with this problem. What I did was took the freshly cut plant and gave it a good shake outside and then straight into the freezer for a couple of hours.
My nugs are few days away from being completely dry and the last remaining mites have been killed during the curing process.

This is true. I've seen it for myself. Instead of cutting them though, I just take a lighter and torch them. Spidermites don't really get into the buds unless there's a bad infestation. Your buds will be fine.

just a tip if you grow smaller plants in moveable containers' take it outside and use a mist nozzel and watch the mites drip away some plants cant take the water wieght and might fall over, you have to hold it up but sierously try this,, i have got rid of mites this way i use a spray nozzel and blast away sierously,,,, dont leave the plants because wind might knock them down, and dont leave them out side for to long or sun will burn them

also lower temps for a few days to slow thier growth,,, i had a chart that had the cycle of a mite given temp and at 80-90 they lay eggs every 3 days.......

at 50 i think its a week or maybe even 14 days.
as for smoking mites its your choice you probley wont die...... if the buds pop(make a crazy crackling noise or taste funny), try to make hash

most mites will gravitate to the top of the stem ,,,, i wouldent torch them that give bad fumes and karma off by plants,,,,, cut instead

sorry for not checking back in, its been a busy week!

I trimmed the hell out of the plants in the initial harvest. I dried them for a week and just now today idid a fine trim and the mites were pretty much either dead or gone. In the find trim the last small leaves did have some mites on em, but they went away with the fine trim. All the bud looks superb!

Thanks for all the help/info, its much appreciated!!!
