harvesting sativa's?

I have asked this question before and have scoured the internet but cant find the help i need. I have a very heavy sativa strain which I cant determine the harvest window. My last grow I harvested at 10 weeks and I think it was too early. The buds are wispy but the colas are large (18 inches)
From what i understand, they can have several harvest windows? Unlike indicas which are easy to harvest, I cant really determine when these are finally done.. They seem to mature and then get more growth. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. I would really like to maximize the potential for this strain and although the last grow potency was decent, i think it could be better...

Thanks

Dan

Good looking girl. :yummy: She looks to have about 2 to 4 weeks for real goodness. Sativa's can be all over the map time wise. I wait till about 50% of the hairs start turning color then start checking the trichomes. Good luck. :joint:

imo this works no matter what strain you're dealing with..

Personally, i wait for at least 30-40% amber

5 week flowering buds. I had to remove some early buds, my hydro solution container got dry last week and my female went 15% dry...

Still alive and back into flowering. I got lucky this time. This sativa is resistant to dry soils...

I don't know what else to add as it seems all has been addressed... Follow the trich harvest guide and you should be fine... JAH Bless
